Hi all,

Can you help me get out of the rut I’m in of wearing strip lashes every day? I have got to the point of feeling not myself without them now and don’t want to start the salon lashes thing as think that would end up the same and costing a fortune too! So which mascara can I buy to try to make my stubby lashes really nice, long and full? Thank you!

Dior overcurl mascara with eyelash curler and tight-lining gives me a very similar effect to fake lashes.

MAC False Lash. I like the waterproof version, as I am a smudger.

Getting your eyelashes permed might help also. I'm a big fan of it.

I am a bit squemish about that. Does the stuff smell like perm lotion?

Also I wear glasses so is there much point me doing this?

Have you tried any eyelash serums?

Benefit bad gal mascara took most of my eyelashes out when I was removing it.I tried LiLash from around Xmas time, it took about a month to see results and it was amazing. Really full lashes and really good length. The only downside is it’s so expensive (cheaper than continual extensions tho) and it takes a while to arrive from the states. Any mascara now looks really good though. I’m about to order my second bottle!

I used to love the Max Factor false lash effect, YSL faux cils, Maybelline false lash and Benefit theyre real.

I also used to use one of lash serums and it absolutely made a difference.

@Deathraystare yes it smells of perm solution but the effect is so dramatic that it's worth it to me. I also wear glasses.

I really like Eyeko mascara. Got it in the M&S advent calendar and bought a full size tube recently. It's really very good.

My DD (17) likes Too Faced Better Than Sex when she does wear mascara but she has LVL done which has really brilliant results (and means she can be mascara free ). Not sure about the perm smell, don't think it does ( she would whinge tell me )

Only downside is when the new lashes grow in, they go a bit tangly . She uses a lash comb to tidy them.
