Saw these when shopping this morning and thought they might work for the office. Now I fear I have accidentally purchased granny trousers?!?!

Plain black t-shirt and black shoes and they will be fine for an office job etc

Elllllle · 29/05/2019 15:18

An office job?! But they are jersey and seemingly high waisted .... Shock maybe with a long top??

DwangelaForever · 29/05/2019 15:23

I don't know what I dislike more, the pattern or the shape of them.

Greenglassteacup · 29/05/2019 15:35

TU has gone downhill in a huge way, I’ve had some really good cotton dresses from
Them in the past but for the last few years it’s been dire, as evidenced the current trousers

babysharkah · 29/05/2019 15:36

good grief, they are awful.

Shitonthebloodything · 29/05/2019 15:52

Only ok if you're over 75 I think.

Candleglow7475 · 29/05/2019 16:08

The pattern looks like my mums sofa circa 1977. I don’t think it’s found it’s way back into fashion yet either. Sorry OP get them taken back for a refund.

Peridot1 · 29/05/2019 16:14

Could have been worse. They also have these.

Candleglow7475 · 29/05/2019 16:26

Bloody hell Peridot1 😂😂 they expect people to pay money for those??

Knitclubchatter · 29/05/2019 16:36

Peridot, that pattern is so ugly it could be cool if matched with the right personal flare, the op’s pattern was both bland and hideous.

JuniperNarni · 29/05/2019 16:39

Peridot I actually love those, sold out in my size though unfortunately

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 29/05/2019 16:43

ooh dearie me no, not work wear.

Maybe somewhere hot hot hot, with the sea in the background and the breeze in your hair

Worn with a tiny black vest top and some jewelled flip flops, just maybe, but on the bus on the way to work with a work weary expression on your face and your oyster card in your hand...nuh-uh.

Kanga83 · 29/05/2019 16:44

See I'm in the minority. Not for the office but with tan sandals and a fitted T-shirt great for holidays.

Pinnacular · 29/05/2019 16:44

They're like pj bottoms. Perhaps wear them in the evenings to watch TV in.

Mother87 · 29/05/2019 17:48

Good god nooooooConfusedConfusedConfused

Mother87 · 29/05/2019 17:50

wildhairdontcare · 29/05/2019 19:23

Crikey, you guys, don't spare my feelings or anything!

Returned first thing this morning!

Greenglassteacup · 29/05/2019 20:18

Thank goodness!

kaytee87 · 29/05/2019 20:28

Oh wow!

rightsideofherstory · 29/05/2019 20:29

The horror!!!!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 29/05/2019 20:30

Actually, I quite like them. And they look comfy.

Roussillon849 · 29/05/2019 20:57

OP, I don't dislike them at all! I think the pattern is very stylish. They could be difficult to wear, being jersey - I think they would need white trainers/pumps and the right shaped top. But they've got that "not quite animal print but kind of" thing going, and the combination of colours is striking. I'd give it more thought betore returning. They might end up being the kind of thing you get lots of comments and compliments on.

DarthLipgloss · 30/05/2019 19:59

Surely they should come with a matching long waistcoat...

Iamtooknackeredtorun · 31/05/2019 06:49

I thought I saw these in store the other day but there seems to be some sort of long straight skirt in the same fabric. Equally awful.

I agree ref TU going downhill. It’s 25% off at the mo and there was nothing worth a second look.

milkshak3 · 31/05/2019 07:44

no, just no 🙈
