Bought these on a whim. Are they really ugly?

Saw these when shopping this morning and thought they might work for the office. Now I fear I have accidentally purchased granny trousers?!?!

Plain black t-shirt and black shoes and they will be fine for an office job etc

An office job?! But they are jersey and seemingly high waisted .... maybe with a long top??

I don't know what I dislike more, the pattern or the shape of them.

The pattern looks like my mums sofa circa 1977. I don’t think it’s found it’s way back into fashion yet either. Sorry OP get them taken back for a refund.

Peridot, that pattern is so ugly it could be cool if matched with the right personal flare, the op’s pattern was both bland and hideous.

See I'm in the minority. Not for the office but with tan sandals and a fitted T-shirt great for holidays.

They're like pj bottoms. Perhaps wear them in the evenings to watch TV in.

Actually, I quite like them. And they look comfy.

OP, I don't dislike them at all! I think the pattern is very stylish. They could be difficult to wear, being jersey - I think they would need white trainers/pumps and the right shaped top. But they've got that "not quite animal print but kind of" thing going, and the combination of colours is striking. I'd give it more thought betore returning. They might end up being the kind of thing you get lots of comments and compliments on.

Surely they should come with a matching long waistcoat...

I thought I saw these in store the other day but there seems to be some sort of long straight skirt in the same fabric. Equally awful.
