Highlights vs all over blonde dye

I've been getting bleach blonde highlights for YEARS but recently I've been considering instead going for an all over bleach blonde dye shamelessly influenced by a couple of super gorgeous social media influencers (Blush)
I think I prefer the look of it
Is the upkeep super crazy? (I don't mind taking more frequent trips to the salon only if it would take significantly less time than highlights?

Yes I hope someone comes along who is knowledgable...
I find it difficult to find a colourist who can do my highlights exactly how I like them. My lovely hairdresser has recently moved so I don't want to go through the rigmarole of finding one who I trust again. (I'm saying this assuming an all over dye is easier to get right than highlights but really I have no idea Confused)

Here is the gorgeous Micah Gianneli who I am reliably informed has an all over colour 🤔🤔

Me too, any ideas?? Where’s that AMA I’m a hairdresser thread? She’d be good to ask!

I found the upkeep with all over colour was less than highlights. And it was cheaper!

I'm naturally blonde but I've had highlights for years as I like my hair being the blonde it goes when I've spent a lot of time in the sun (which I rarely get chance to do!). But for a few years I moved to a city in Asia which is not known for it's great hairdressers for Western hair (hardly surprising given 99% of the population is Asian) so my London hairdresser recommended I have all over blonde as this would be easier to maintain in Asia. I lived with it for 3 years but OMG I was so glad to get back to London and have highlights again!! I just didn't like the all over colour anywhere near as much. But you may have a different reaction OP. And it does work out cheaper. Smile
