44 and 4 weeks until hot date

Cleanwhitesheets · 28/05/2019 09:45

Okay, ignoring the ins and outs, in just under a month I have a very hot date with a 30 year old man!
Now I realise that I am worth it and he won't be looking for flaws, but I need tips on how to be top to toe ready. Best time for a bikini wax, can I tone up my thighs and bum (half a stone to lose and some unattractive wobble), how best to moisturise, pedicure?
Basically with 4 weeks to go before one of the hottest dates in your life, what would be your tips to make the absolute best of yourself?

What is the usual you?

Make your aim to be the scrubbed up version of you. Don't try to become someone else - you'll never keep it up, for one thing, and alsoit won't ever feel quite right.

Don't bikini wax - if you're looking for advice on timing, it means you don't just know, so are not doing this anyhow.

To improve skin, exfoliate (something scratchy, every shower) and then moisturise - doesn't really matter with what, just actually do it.

Make sure hair is behaving (get split ends, roots etc tidied up)

Are you already calorie counting or restricting diet in other ways? If not, then you need to find a way to eat less, because yes losing seven lbs in four weeks is achievable. Tone up by exercising as well. What sorts of exercise do you do already, or think you might like doing

I would suggest doing a manicure at the same time as your pedicure. It doesn't have to be elaborate, just clean and shaped nails is fine

4 weeks, that's loads

I'd :

Lose that half stone, probably by low carbing, no booze or sugar. Eat good fat so your skin glows
Manicure, pedicure etc
Fake tan
Loads of water
To tone thighs up in particular I'd go cycling or spin classes, that's just my preference

What will you wear?

Cleanwhitesheets · 28/05/2019 13:06

Thanks..out of interest, why not bikini wax..shave currently but leaves a rash. What's best way of being, ermm..swim suit ready?

Fake tan..I am quite pale skinned so do you think those gradual tanning lotions? I wouldn't want anything dramatic, but it might help cover a few blemishes?

Yes..I have cut down on carbs, cut out sugar and drink very little alcohol. Plenty of water, trying to do at least 25 minutes of exercise a day in with usual life! Just wobbly round the bum and thigh area..wouldn't normally worry but when you are faced with someone who is hot as heck (he really is) you start to wonder if you could meet somewhere the lighting is always flattering!!!

I have a lovely wrap dress in blue...hourglass figure so goes well, some classy heels and sheer stockings...it is sexy without being over the top revealing.

Meh, if I had a hot date I would want to look like the best version of myself, not just scrubbed up!

Do fast 800, the half stone will drop off. Start now.

Get your skin in the best condition you can. For face, Liquid gold and/or TO granactive retinol nightly or every 2nd night for me, or paulas choice brightening stuff. For body, I suffer from dry skin, so slather myself in dermal therapy and oils.

I would go get a light fake spray tan (pls get a test a few weeks before if you have never had one though). Spray tan is best 3 days before date.

Bikini wax, eyebrows and legs two weeks before (this depends though on how fast your hair grows and when/if you get ingrown hairs.).

Hair cut and blowdry night/day before. I do own nails with opi and seche vite, would do that night or two before too.

Is your makeup and outfit sorted?

Cross posted OP sorry

Ooooh hiw exciting! Why 4 weeks - is he not in the country? Intrigued.

I'm 47 and have been doing Bailey Brown Youtube videos -I exercise regularly anyway but the last mknth ir so have transformed by bum - I swear it's an inch higher than it used to be and I have a definite 3 pack - her toning exercises are amazing - a fusion of Pilates, barre, yoga - all matt based and have HIT aspect so it's cardio as well as toning.

Dry skin brushing every day and moisturise with a firming lotion - Palmers is very good.

Keto diet with good fats - no sugar, alcohol. 2-3 L water daily

Epsom salt baths

Balayage highlights

Shellac toes and fingers a few days before

Face massage - Abigail James on YT does a brilliant 5 minute one - every morning

Plumping sheet masks and exfoliating toner.

Go for a CACI or radiofrequency facial a few days before.

Teeth whitening

Go for a make over at either CT or BB depending on how va va voom you want to be and practise.

Find a delicious fragrance and get matching body creme/lotion - spray perfume in hair

Have a bloody brilliant time and report. back - living vicariously here clearly!!

JMAngel1 · 28/05/2019 14:29

Oooh forgot waxing - around 4 days before to avoid plucked chicken look - use your exfoliating toner on bikini line afterwards to avoid ingrowing hairs - go for a hollywood or brazilian if you're feeling brave!!

Cleanwhitesheets · 28/05/2019 15:50

Thank you...I love you all...I'll look up Bailey Brown.

Going to get on it but all tips appreciated!

And yes...I currently can't believe my luck!

You’ve asked about waxing so I’d suggest around 4-5 days beforehand to have it done. Only get hot wax not strip. Hot wax more comfortable and less irritating to skin so any redness tends to die down quickly. Avoid hot bath/ shower or exercise for the rest of the day after you have wax. Take 400mg ibuprofen beforehand for less ouch, particularly if you’re not used to waxing.
Good luck with everything else. Your excitement is really shining through Smile

Cleanwhitesheets · 28/05/2019 20:15

Thank you for the waxing advice...no one else to ask!

Yes..am rather looking forward to it! (the hot date, not the wax!!!)

I'm just marking my place to hear more about your date Grin

shitpark · 28/05/2019 21:24

But I would like to add, that he clearly fancies you the way you are, so don't stress too much, half a stone is nothing really and I have often been told the little bit of wobble on my thighs is sexy.

WrappedInBitsOfSilver · 31/05/2019 00:12

@Cleanwhitesheets sorry to be needy and demanding but how’s it going? I’d like updates please, for vicarious excitement re hot date Grin

Cleanwhitesheets · 31/05/2019 05:42

😁 I am exercising, eating less but better, moisturising religiously, have a wax booked in for 3 weeks, have had eyebrows tidied, using a gradual tanning lotion and have a additional dentist Appt for clean.
To be honest, I am feeling great..I ought to have done this for myself regardless Wink
He is somehow looking hotter (I think he is upping his game too) which is mildly terrifying. Keep telling myself that age is just a number and women my age can be smoking hot!

OP posts:
Chicinwellies · 31/05/2019 07:13

Hmm. Clearly he likes you anyway or the date wouldn’t be happening. So don’t spend too long on the aesthetics.
A relaxed, confident you will be much more appealing than a nervous, over prepared you. Wishing you lots of luck.

WrappedInBitsOfSilver · 01/06/2019 16:16

That’s great news! Glad you’re feeling good and yes it’s all about doing it for yourself so you feel great and everything else follows. Keep us updated!

slightlysoreboobs · 07/06/2019 13:00

Clean how are you getting on? Inspired by your efforts I’ve started a self improvement programme myself - working out to a Jillian Michaels dvd, exfoliating and moisturising every day, trying to eat well. I don’t have a hot date on the horizon, but you never know and it’s lovely to feel so well Smile

HepburnKNotA · 07/06/2019 13:37

Shameless placemarking... I can’t wait to hear about the date OP!

44 year old women are in the absolute prime of life in my opinion (nothing to do with the fact I’m a 42 year old woman myself!!) and he is lucky to be going out with you.

Your preparations sound ideal; have you picked an outfit yet?!

Cleanwhitesheets · 07/06/2019 16:02

Smile I am doing well.
Starting to see some evidence of toning...not enough and had a thigh crisis yesterday, but googled positive body image and got through it!!!!
Bikini wax and dental polish booked.
I think I have outfit sorted but need to buy clever lingerie.
I am so moisturised I slide everywhere now. Smile
