Shoes with this dress?

It's a midi dress, and I'm 5ft 8, large mum tum. Aiming to be a 14 by the time I need to wear this.

The model in the pics is wearing chunky heels but I can only really wear flats. Would it look ridiculous? I was thinking of flat strappy sandals.

I had this dress (but it didn't fit my arms) and was going to wear it with pink strappy wedges. I think it needs heels of some sort but not necessarily skyscraper ones, an inch wedge would work

It fitted me well but I do have bingo wings and that was the problem. It was incredibly flattering on the rest of me. I donated it to DD
