I want some ballet flats but not the dirt cheap new look type ones but equally not the Gabor granny level ones. Can spend around £100 on a good pair bit really struggle to find any that don't look really cheap but that aren't all built up and old fashioned. Anyone able to help me?

I like Ruby Shoos - they have ballet flats, but as an alternative the low block heels are super comfy and look more adult than the ballet flats - like this www.rubyshoo.com/product/917/Shoes/Block_Heels

And you can often get them about half price on Secret Sales.com

Butterfly twists are far too small for me unfortunately

Second french sole - but get a pair with a decent base. I spent ages looking for ballet pumps, didn't want to buy FS as they were so expensive but I've now had them for over two years so they were def worth the cost (but I only wear them in the office, not sure they last that well if you wear them outside all the time).

Which ones would you say have a good base? Do they come up small?

I'd say they're true to size. I'm a 6 and they fit really well from first wear. hth

I have these www.zalando.co.uk/pier-one-ballet-pumps-grey-pi911a0aj-c11.html which are comfortable and I like the start across the top to hold them more securely.

Sam Edelman do the best ones, I have approx 10 pairs. The name changes slightly, Felicia, Forsyth, Frankie are some of them. I think the Felicia is the basic one they do each year. I think they're small size wise though, I wear a 6.5 uk and wear a US9 in those.

Hi, sorry I was just searching for something else, saw this over coffee. I'd go up a size to 38. x C
