Women's tuxedo shirt

I'm looking for a shirt styled like a man's dress shirt, but cut for a woman. It doesn't need to have wing collar, but it is to be worn with a tie. I don't want to spend masses on it, but I want something a bit nicer than an ordinary school shirt.

(And can I just have a little whinge about teenage dds who want a very specific look for Prom, which would be achievable during the winter party season, but is utterly unobtainable in the summer?!)

maybe try here?

That is seriously beautiful but seriously expensive, too! I've spent about £80 on the suit, but she's likely to wear it as separates in 6th form, so a reasonable investment. Shoes, likewise, will be something she can wear again. I'm afraid that a silk shirt will have to be something she buys for herself when she is earning.

www.alexandra.co.uk/wing-collar-blouse what about this one?

JellySlice · 27/05/2019 14:03

Oh god. Heaven preserve me. 🙇‍♀️ (That's me banging my head against the desk.)

I just went skipping happily upstairs to show dd Danniotly's link to the perfect shirt. Exactly the style we were discussing when she tried the suit on.

"I don't want a wing tip shirt!"
"Why not? It's perfect with a bow tie."
"Because the elastic will show!"
"Not if we get a bow tie with a proper back."
"But the one I ordered has an elastic."
"That's OK, we'll reorder in the style with a proper back."
"I don't want a wing tip shirt!"
"What do you want?"
"I don't know! I just want a shirt!"

🤦‍♀️
