Best high impact sports bra??

projectsincoming · 26/05/2019 07:25

Looking for a high impact sports bra for my 32E/F boobs. Current one is fine but not for running and I am doing Race for Life soon so need it! Am 4 months post breast augmentation also if that is a factor.

Shock Absorber are always highly rated on these threads. Personally I’ve got a heavy duty one from M&S. it’s got a zip up the front. It’s great. No movement or bounce, I’m a frequent runner with an E cup if that helps.

TheNumberfaker · 26/05/2019 07:47

I’m JJ/K cup and need to wear 2 sports bras to minimise movement.

HollyBen · 26/05/2019 07:50

I am a 30E32F and I wear to Shock Absorber Run bras. I would recommend trying a few sizes in a shop as I find I have to go up a size. Then have a look online as you can usually pick them up cheaper.

Viviene · 26/05/2019 08:05

I'm 36F. Shock Absorber is the best for me :-)

shitpark · 26/05/2019 09:34

I hear a lot of good things about Shock Absorber bras, but I can not do them up. I buy Panache

professionalnomad · 26/05/2019 09:41

I second the high impact M&S one
I'm an F and it is fab
A pain to zip up though

TescosFinest · 26/05/2019 09:44

Underwired Panache bra. Totally solid

dementedpixie · 26/05/2019 09:46

I also like panache ultimate underwired. I tried to get into a shock absorber once and had to get dd to help get me back out of it again!

projectsincoming · 26/05/2019 10:19

The shock absorber one looks so hideous and difficult but has great reviews!

I hate shock absorber (g boobs). Love panache Underwire. I couldn't get a panache in my size last time do I chanced a cheap and cheerful amazon offering, Glamorise Women's Full Figure which is remarkably good too, although I've added a carabiner clip at the shoulder to make it a racer back.

Roominmyhouse · 26/05/2019 11:00

I didn’t like the shock absorber as it’s not got underwriting. But this one from M&S is brilliant www.marksandspencer.com/extra-high-impact-non-padded-sports-bra-a-g/p/p60206767?image=SD_02_T33_6318C_Y4_X_EC_90&color=BLACKMIX&prevPage=plp

Lots of threads about this in the Exercise topic.

Unless you're planning on running in only a bra on to, whether it's stylish or beautiful is not really a consideration.

Try the underwired Panache one (which has straps that can be clipped to racerback if you want), or the Shock Absorber (sizing a bit weird, I need to go upma size in the band and down one in the cup)

The other brand which is consistently praised is Enell

swissmilk · 26/05/2019 11:15

I wear a normal big underwired bra (I'm similar size to you op and then my trusty Enell over the top.
It's a bit warm, but I only run in the cooler evenings in the summer.

PinguDance · 26/05/2019 11:24

I got a lululemon TaTa tamer which is ridiculously expensive but the best I’ve ever had. It actually makes your boobs look great too! Sort of pushes them up and contains them rather than flatten them onto your chest - which I find makes it really hard for me to breath.

MinesaPinot · 26/05/2019 15:51

I tried on loads. I couldn't get the Shock Absorber ones done up. I finally went to Sweaty Betty and got their high impact bra. Absolutely brilliant. I use it for Zumba and ballet but I'd feel very confident in running in it. I was measured 34F in Rigby and Peller but got a 36E in SB as it felt better in the band.

EllaEllaE · 26/05/2019 17:24

Enell Sports Bra. It will change your life.

It is not attractive, but the point of it is to keep everything absolutely under control -- which it does, up to the largest sizes. If you want something that will actually enable you to do sports without having to think about your boobs ever, this is what you need.

projectsincoming · 26/05/2019 17:40

I was measured in Rigby and Peller as a 32E/F so presuming that is correct but will try before I buy if possible.

Another vote here for Enell. I have two. Once I'm in there absolutely nothing is moving Blush

dementedpixie · 26/05/2019 17:49

Look at boobydoo website as they have lots of brands to try

Ypsilanti · 26/05/2019 20:58

Shock Absorber active multi sports bra. Brilliant for running and high impact gym classes. Don’t bother with the run bra - this one is just as good and easier to get on (and cheaper). I find I need to go up a size in the band but keep the cup the same.

MoreProseccoNow · 27/05/2019 20:20

I am a FF cup & wear a Freya Active Epic (style AA04) - it's more of a cropped top & can convert to a racer-back. Gives me good support when running. It's true to size (unlike shock absorbers!)

CarrotPuff · 27/05/2019 22:08

I've got shock absorber and I love it. Training for a half marathon the moment. I'm 30G usually but had to get a 32G.

Misnomer · 27/05/2019 22:12

Shock absorber fly bra - it's high impact but much easier to do up than the run bra. It's also true to size, where as the run bra comes up small. And it's lighter than the run bra but the support is great. I'm the same size as you, op.
