Can this be done?

Turkey
10 days

Starting from scratch, minimal budget. Need the works.

Any recommendations?

Things like flip flops, sandals and beach bags are all good to get. Plenty of choice in at the moment too.

I saw some decent shorts last weekend so I’d get 3/4 pairs of those.

I didn’t look at swimwear as I am of huge nork so have to go elsewhere but if smaller I would get 2/3 bikinis or swimsuits and a couple of cover ups.

Get a few t shirts and look at some sun dresses.

You won’t need more that that. May be a small clutch bag or similar for going out in the evening.

TheCaddy · 24/05/2019 08:12

Flip flops are less than a £1 in primary usually.

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 24/05/2019 08:22

I'd get a floaty dress that feels like wearing nothing as it could be boiling.
Two pairs of different shaped sandals to minimise tan lines.
Two or three different shaped swimming costumes- one boob tube, one halter, one triangle to minimise tan lines.
Big tshirts to throw over swimmers and shorts.
Sunglasses probably two pairs.

I also take a big bottle of conditioner and put it in my hair in a topknot all day (curly) so that if I get splashed in pool there is a clorine barrier and hair doesn't dry out in sun too much.

I must be weird because I love having tan lines, especially where I wear my watch Grin

I got a great skirt in Primark for my hols - £13, midi, very light and floaty, cream with pale green and pink flowery print. I totally love it. That's as dressy as I'm going to go on holiday but I'll be wearing it several times in the evening.

They have some fab casual dress type things with a knot in the back that you can throw over your bikini when you go for a walk, to lunch etc. £4 and they have them in blue, black, lime green and bright pink. I live in these type of clothes on holiday so maybe get a couple of these

Witchofzog · 24/05/2019 09:05

Ps I am also doing 10 days in Turkey soon Smile

GingerOClock · 24/05/2019 09:15

This is great - thank you! Great tip about tan lines!

They sound perfect for what im looking for. Do you have a photo of the dress?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/05/2019 16:42

They have some nice trousers , tiny pleats effect so no ironing Wink and weighty enoughto hang while being floaty.

Black, blush,zebra, floral

stucknoue · 25/05/2019 16:46

It is, but even primark adds up, also check charity shops, you can get better quality for less money often. I find 2-3 swimwear, sarong, couple of short dresses and a couple of long ones plus a cardigan works for a week, travel in trousers and a shirt.

Witchofzog · 26/05/2019 14:29

@mumofmillie13 Do you mean the dress that I referred to?

Mumofmillie13 · 27/05/2019 01:19

@Witchofzog yes I'd be very tempted to buy one as it sounds like just what I need.

Witchofzog · 27/05/2019 22:41

Here you go Mumofmillie13. The lighting is bad though and the dress is more of a Royal Blue
