What bra with this dress?

I have bought this dress for the races but 2 babies means my boobs are a bit too far south.

I don't believe the stick on bras will stick (plasters etc don't stick to me!) so hoping for other suggestions.

Thanks

i think i would go for this which has clear straps and a clear back x

sleepismysuperpower1 · 23/05/2019 20:34

(dress is gorgeous by the way x)

Thank you.

Bit concerned that the back strap will just squish my back fat in a rather unflattering manner. Need something with a low back I think .

Forget see through straps. You can see that that bra doesn't even begin to fit the model and would be back-fat central on anyone. Those bras that cross over your tummy are vile too, sorry OP. You need either a tit-tape-based solution or a bralette that covers your normal bra at the back but looks prettier. Backless styles and bras just don't work IME.

Could you ask an alterations place to sew some cups into the dress?

Scattyhattie · 24/05/2019 09:07

Maybe something like this would work

Avoid clear straps, they slip and sparkle in the sunlight like a lighthouse.

StarlightLady · 24/05/2019 09:22

Pressed send to soon. The body suit would be a better bet. Nice cut too. And a lovely dress! Flowers

Bodear · 24/05/2019 09:26

I agree - clear straps are the work of the devil. They fool no one.

Have you tried the stick on bras? I haven’t but assume they must work or people wouldn’t buy them? Maybe some Mners who have will be along to let you know what they’re really like.
The body suit looks like a good option though.

Bodear · 24/05/2019 09:27

Ps. Beautiful dress - where is it from

GreyTS · 24/05/2019 14:23

Last summer everything seemed to be backless so I've tried loads of things, one of the best was a stick on bra from Primark, not much support but lasted all night. The v best was gaffer tape, found in the local hardware 😂 but worked brilliantly until about 3 in the morning when sweat made it slide right off 🙈 Nothing else worked at all, ended up braless in a few hours

ThatCurlyGirl · 24/05/2019 14:41

Clear straps look worse than having nothing IMO!

bagpiss · 24/05/2019 14:53

Have a look for 'backless body suit'.
I'm currently at work or I'd find some links for you.

CrumpetWithMarg · 24/05/2019 14:57

Wow - where is this dress from? It's beautiful!

ThatCurlyGirl · 24/05/2019 18:26

Where is it from OP? It's beautiful!

thomasthecheekyone · 24/05/2019 19:38

Ordered the body suit to try! For the price it's worth a try if not I'll investigate stick ones.

Thanks for your help.

The dress is a brand called Hope and Ivy, ruffle skater dress, I got it from a boutique near me but felt like a bargain at £70!

This was posted in 2019. The OP has either found her bra by now or given up! 🤔
