Will I ever find a jumpsuit that suits me?

I'm 5ft 7 12 stone (size 14) decent legs 32FF bit conscious of my tummy. I have no waist the distance between my hips and ribs is ridiculous I have such a short body, therefore any dresses or jumpsuits that are waisted look ridiculous. Drop waisted looks good but jumpsuits don't have those and I really want to be able to wear one!

Will I ever find one that suits me?

I think you just need to try on loads until you find a style that suits you.

I found that structured jumpsuits work better for me. I bought one from next in the petite range.

I'm exactly the same size and weight as you and I've given up!! X

Alienspaceship · 23/05/2019 14:00

I have the opposite problem. Really long body so they go up my bum a bit and strain on the shoulders. I too have given up. They are obviously for the perfectly proportioned people out there Grin

Em3978 · 23/05/2019 14:06

I'm also the same size and weight as you, though have a silghtly longer body, and still can't find one that doesn't make me look like a sack of spuds :(

Strugglingtodomybest · 23/05/2019 14:11

I have never seen anyone look good in a jumpsuit so don't worry about it, you've dodged a fashion bullet!

MyNameIsCharlesII · 23/05/2019 14:14

I’m also the same height and weight and have given up. I look like a sack of spuds in overalls.

And I’ve bought one for dd (10) and the looks flipping lovely and trendy but not too grown up in it AKA perfect Envy

MyNameIsCharlesII · 23/05/2019 14:14

*she looks

Greenteandchives · 23/05/2019 14:14

You haven’t seen me, Struggling.
I look amazing in mine.🤗. And I have a few.

QueenOfIce · 23/05/2019 14:37

Ok so no jumpsuit..Those that are same height and weight as me what sort of dresses do you go for? I find a more structured dress suits me like a fit and flare shirt dress but without a belt and if it has that bloody elasticated waist forget I won't even try it on.

I'm so bored with wide leg trousers or jeans.

If you're bored get the jumpsuit. What is the point of sticking with so-called flattering clothes if they don't make you feel good?

Do it now because when they come around again in another 20 years your bladder may not be up to it.

IloveJudgeJudy · 23/05/2019 18:17

I saw one the other night on QVC by Kim&Co. it was a shorter (5'4") and more curvy model wearing it. She looked better in that than a lot of the other clothes she models

Kaz2200 · 23/05/2019 19:50

I have just bought this

banivani · 23/05/2019 21:44

Geeeet the juuuumpsuuuiiiit just do it to hell with ”flattering” and listen to Floisme re bladder in old age ;)

Although im sure I’ve seen jumpsuits with sort of drop waists?

WhereForArtThouBray · 23/05/2019 21:51

I have a lovely flattering one from new look in Jersey material and I love it.

Isntthatalwaystheway · 23/05/2019 21:58

I am exactly the same height and weight as you and have several jumpsuits, I love them! I've found the best styles are the ones that come in at the chest rather than the tummy! I look horrendous in those elasticated waist ones 🤮 I bought a Boho style one from TK Maxx of all places today, had to have a rummage but they have loads of jumpsuits in there at the moment!
