I've just started going to the gym a couple of times a week...mainly to swim and I've noticed l look a bit " rubbish" .
I'm 52 and a size 10 and would like to look more the part rather than a middle aged mum in grey fleecy joggers and a random tee shirt...
I still want to be comfy and wear things that are easy to put on but l just want to feel more like l belong in a gym, rather than a frumpy middle aged non gym goer.
Any suggestions?

I swim in the morning before work. I just pull on some dirty clothes and go. I take my clothes for work with me and change into them after my swim. I look much better coming out than going in!

For a swimming costume look at Proswimwear, all looksand budgets are catered for. I like Amanzi, colourful but good quality.

Look at yoga pants or harem pants as they are looser than leggings so easy for swimming. Add a vest and an interesting tee- gap often has one with open backs for example (in with the sports stuff). Then a nice hoodie if it's cold. If you wear a tight vest or one with secret support you might not need a bra which is good for after swimming. Fit flops or those pull on stretchy trainer things (Nike and addidas both do, dont know what they are called!).

Some really good ideas...not thought of a combined sports vest top thing ,so no bra...I'm of small boob department so a good idea. TBH in the winter months I have been known to put plain..lounge pant type pjs on ..no underwear and a large hoodie..driven the 5min journey home and voila " ready for bed"
