Help me dress myself

Summer is coming and I am struggling, as I do every year. I have to wear long sleeves.

This year is worse because my podiatrist has banned heels and I've gained weight from not running every week like I was before my feet issues started up.

Currently I live in jeans, Primark long sleeved tops and black Nike trainers.

So unless I drop a stone in the next month I'm going to need to buy new clothes but I just can't seem to find anything I like.

Help me/dress me please Sad

But you’ve left out all the needful details ... We don’t know if you’re a size 12 or 22; 4 foot 5 or 6 foot 5. Or - because I can’t reslly tell from your OP - what sort of budget you’re thinking of. And do you want work, leisure, Oscars or Olympics clothes?

FWIW - slip a long flowery slip dress over your trainers, jeans and t shirt. Done!

Sorry! How stupid of me, it's been a long day.

Size 12 verging on 14, pea shaped
5'6"
Budget is average high street. I don't mind paying a bit more for something nice which I rest like, but generally unlikely to pay more than £50-60 per item.
Mostly interested in every day clothes but if I can find one or two work pieces that would be nice as I tend to wear the same black skirt and one of 3 shirts and the same 2 dresses on rotation.

Oh and I'm in my mid 20s!

Lots of maxi dresses with sleeves about at the moment which seems to be exactly what you need.

GeorgeTheBleeder · 21/05/2019 18:44

Is this too ordinary? Jumpsuit.

wildhairdontcare · 21/05/2019 18:54

Long sleeve maxis can be ideal for work or casual. Flat sandals!

GemmeFatale

Can you name a few places? I was in H&M and Zara last week and didn't see any at all!

GeorgeTheBleeder

Love the jumpsuit, unfortunately my large hips do NOT.

That looks nice, I'll have to try it on this weekend. I worry about thigh chafing though.

Are you really "pea shaped" like me or did you mean pear shaped?

this sort of thing will help avoid the chafe

Have you actually tried on any of the jumpsuits? I didn't think they would suit me but tried one on and was amazed how good it looks.

Long sleeve maxis lovely for this time of year.

Soft cotton roll up trousers look good with trainers or sandals.I have these in black and they are very light and versatile

GeorgeTheBleeder · 21/05/2019 20:37

Your whole arms covered or just a section? And one arm or both? (Asked with empathy btw.)

PaintingOwls · 21/05/2019 21:46

Sorry that should be pear shaped Blush

I mostly shop online but ASOS, Dorothy Perkins and the like all seem to have had long sleeved maxi/midis recently.

Rooftree · 21/05/2019 22:28

I second Asos for dresses. My skin hates the sun so I cover up in the summer. I wear dresses all the time
