Covering hair roots/regrowth?

I have a salon appointment is in 3 weeks, can’t get an earlier appointment unfortunately.

My roots looks awful, an inch of dark brown regrowth and the rest of my hair is light brown/blonde highlights. It’s really noticeable as it doesn’t blend in. I have a bob too so not much length to work with!

Does anyone have tips on hiding your regrowth? I actually feel a bit embarrassed to go to work in the morning as it looks that bad.

I cover mine with a box dye specifically for regrowth which just has a small amount of dye and a brush. I'm guessing if you usually use a salon they might not want you messing with a box dye in between. There are loads of root covering sprays available though, which work reasonably well. You can get them in any Boots/Superdrug.

I always do my own roots with a box dye but not one specifically for roots. It's so easy to do.
I did use to use Batiste blonde dry shampoo for emergencies.

L’Oréal root cover spray, always

See the problem is that I get my dark roots lightened to match the rest of my hair, so wouldn’t want to risk it myself and end up orange Blush

I popped into Boots earlier, L’Oréal have a root spray that supposedly covers dark roots, I’m sceptical but a bit scared to try it whilst I’m at work!
