It's medium-textured (not QUITE true, some of it is fine, some of it's coarse; it's just another of the joys of my problem hair, but overall I'd have to say medium), and it's wavy rather than curly (but straight in parts!)
I have a LOT of it. It's not thick hair per se, but there is a LOT of hair there.
It's almost shoulder length, with longish layers to break it up, and a soft fringe. I wear it up ALL. THE. TIME. As in, even to bed. I hate the way I look with my hair down (and so does everyone else in my life) and it suits me so, so much better up. Suits my face shape etc. I cannot/will not go short, though, despite never ever wearing it down, as short hair suits neither my hair texture/type nor my face shape. I will look like a startled toilet brush.
But my God, it's frizzy and flyaway and awful.
I have no idea where to start in overhauling my regime. I have a crappy crappy hairdryer that I long since lost the smoothing nozzle of, which is probably the biggest problem. I can afford a new dryer but not an expensive one. That said, if a particular hairdryer would make a huge difference all on its own, I could spend a hundred plus quid.
I just blast it dry, I have no time or ability to do anything else. I never straighten it, it looks shit if a hairdresser does. It needs to work with the bounce rather than against it iyswim.
PRODUCTS! Tell me products. I use an expensive moisturising shampoo (awapuhi?) that I'm not wedded to. I use Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner. I have no idea if it's doing me any good. It's probably a littler frizzier if I don't use this. I occasionally use a TIGI shine/silicone smoothing jobbie that I always regret as I think my hair is frizzier for days afterwards.
It's just dry, frizzy central and I hate it.
Recommendations for dryers/products from washing through to styling, and tips much appreciated.
Oh and I'm trying very very hard to switch to only Cruelty-Free products.
You lot all sorted me out with my non-wafting kimono and I really need hair advice too!!
