Cream Leather Trousers?!

Just back from an unsuccessful shopping trip.. I tried on a pair of beautiful cream leather trousers from Reiss. Reduced to £300.... they were probably a bit too long but I'm kicking myself and thinking maybe I should have just splashed out (have a weekend away coming up with a 'smart casual' dinner and thought they might have worked.... so am now trawling the internet to see if I can find a similar pair - cream or taupe... not really coming up with anything unless I want to spend way more. Which I don't!! Any ideas.... Might go back to my original plan of a dress from All-Saints... Not sure how much wear I'd get from cream trousers. And also, maybe I'd spill something on them and it would be a disaster?! May end up going back to get them....

Go back and get them. Buyers regret is AWFUL and I've still not forgotten some of the items I wish I'd bought and not. Life is too short.

Oh God, I might have to. Thanks, Mastermind!

Go for it.

Go get them! If I get a strong feeling from an item I always get it just in case it will sell out and I'll regret it.

Ring the shop and ask them to put them aside for you.

I'm intrigued, (and definitely think go buy them, every outfit you try on now won't compare and it'll be frustrating) but how are you going to style them? And what type of fit are they?

HepburnKNotA · 24/05/2019 08:42

I say go for it, if they're basically within your budget. Life is short. As long as you're not going to be tearing food from the mouths of your starving children or missing a mortgage payment then do it.

I've never ever regretted splashing out on those sorts of one-off pieces I've fallen in love with, and these days (now that I have a lot less spare cash) I'm so glad I have gorgeous bits and bobs in my wardrobe that I fell in love with even if they weren't the 'head'' choice.

Oh sorry - missed the replies! Here's a photo I sent to DH from the changing rooms... But having spent way too much time looking online for similar, I bought a brown pair from Brand Alley at £189 - they fit a bit better and are dark brown so hopefully they might be a bit more practical!

Also bought a pair of great ankle boots from Reiss outlet and still spent less than the original cream pair. Which were beautiful but decided I maybe wouldn't wear them enough to justify the expenditure....

@masterminder buyers regret is not that you regretted NOT buying it, but that you DID Smile

The cream trousers look incredible on you. Would be great to see a pic of you in your brown leather trousers, they look even better :)
