Benefits of a facial

I wondered what are the benefits of a professional facial.
Are they worth it? Do they make a difference?
I am fifty and want all the help I can get SmileSmile

I think one off facials are a bit like one off exercise. Makes you feel like you’ve done something good for your skin, but unlikely to do anything meaningful unless you incorporate regularly. (Plus I always break out from facials so am a bit biased)

Personally I would spend the money investing in a skin care routine that will address your concerns. So if anti aging is a concern then collagen boosting treatments, such as Retinols and sunscreen (preventative) would be better.

I love a facial. I have one at least once a month. Has to be a good one with good products though. I usually have Dermalogica, sometimes Elemis.

I do it mostly because I find it incredibly relaxing, but it definitely helps my skin and makes it look all plumped up and glowy.
