What goes with this?

I’m a practical & comfort above all kind of person and therefore crap at this kind of thing. We have a ‘smart/casual’ family event next week. DD is 13 and wants to wear this jumpsuit I’ve said she needs something to go with it if it’s cold - something like a cardi? She has agreed but is less than forthcoming about what - so please can I have links to show her and then order before Friday. Thank you from a frumpy mum who has no clue.

I would go for a fine knit cardigan like this one, lots of colours would work. I'd try this cerise one, or white, or navy. Looks like H&M have quite a good selection.
I would also style the jumpsuit with sandals if she has any, rather than trainers. The trainers look a little clumpy, although more practical depending on what you're doing.

Depends how “trendy” she is! I’d say a white denim jacket would look good - plenty around (Next and Mataram).

Flat sandals and fitted denim or (p)leather jacket. A cardi wouldn’t work the same way

If you want a cardigan I’d go for something a bit more fun like a loopy cardigan

Thank you all - she’s not massively trendy but her mother (ahem) is definitely not. Not sure if denim jacket is too casual for occasion hmm.. she has a blue denim jacket so I’ll get her to try that on and see... It took us ages to get to the jumpsuit so I’m not expecting miracles.
