Smart close fitting black jeans

Where can I find some smart close fitting black jeans?

All the ones I see are slightly grey or too much elastane so will bag or are too heavy fabric so make me look bigger than I am (size 10) or have some annoying style feature I don't want (frayed ends, holes, high waist etc,).

Where should I be looking for this kind of jeans that I can wear for work ( creative industries) and off duty too?

I wear my black Levi's to work. I'm a teacher and often wear my black jeans on a Friday when we've made plans to go to the pub after work so that I'm wearing something smart but casual enough for the pub. I also wear them outside of work regularly too obviously.

I've had them nearly a year now and starting to think about redying them as they've faded a bit but still fit me brilliantly.

Dorothy Perkins Eden jeggings ( bear with me) are the blackest black of any jeans/ jeggings I've ever worn, and they stay black through all the washing. They are quite a nice heavy weight fabric as well.
It's witchcraft, I tell ye.

Next 360 degree jeans. Stay black, look smart, hold everything in.

J Brand Maria. I never believed in ‘premium’ denim until I tried these in black. Honestly they are so worth it. You will feel amazing in them.

Sainsburys do black treggings which look like slim fit trousers/ jeans but they don't seem to fade

River Island is your friend

Next black jeggings, wash really well and don't lose their colour/shape.

My black jeans are Boden Trafalger. They are close-fitting round the bum, but them straight-legged. The black ones fit better than the blue ones in the same style as they are a slightly different composition. I've had mine two years and they haven't bagged or faded.

Mint Velvet Atlanta are pretty goox

Thank you MN, I love you!

(My credit card may disagree...)

Also came on here to recommend Levis. The skinny ones are great, form fitting, but not tight to the ankle like super skinnies. For me this makes them smart and I regularly wear them to work (bought them for that), but also find them surprisingly useful for the weekend too

Oh brill! Thanks all this is great 😀

Next slim fit black jeans

I can wear them to work for two days in a row! They don't bag or sag or stretch and they don't fade either!!

Think they were £25?

LaPufalina · 19/05/2019 12:46

I'm a pear shape size 10 and find French connection the best.

DesperadoDan · 19/05/2019 14:17

Another one for River Island, their Amelie jeans are the best I’ve ever worn and a bargain at £40 a pair. They nip you in at the waist and support your bottom. There is soooo much stretch, they are very comfortable and come in loads of colours including clean black.
I don’t work for River Island but have been on a 10 year pilgrimage to find perfect jeans. I’ve found them.

Hullabalooo · 19/05/2019 18:54

Hooray! I'll tempted to buy one of each kind you've all suggested 😀
