Waterproof coat for springtime that’s stylish

bebeboeuf · 17/05/2019 20:55

For the dry days of spring and autumn I have two coats that I wear-

I have a thigh length mac (not water proof)

I have a leather jacket

With all the rainy wasther and getting wet whisky out and about I’m thinking I should invest in a spring / autumn lightweight jacket that is waterproof.

However, I don’t want it to look like sports wear or that I am going camping, and I don’t want it to look like I’m dressing to match my children who currently have lovely yellow rain macs.

What should I be searching for?

Try Seasalt who have several different versions on offer. I have one of them and it has gradually become the only coat I ever wear.

I suspect they may be a bit marmite though..

Joules Coast Jacket, they come in a variety of colours too.

Fat face snowdon. I searched for so long for the perfect coat, bonus as it is in there sale too!

I was looking for something similar, I walk to work so need something waterproof but I have a corporate type job so need something that looks alright over dresses etc. Ended up with this, it's not perfect and is boring as fuck but was cheap, comfortable, inoffensive and waterproof!

I do like that fat face one though...

It's got to be Protected Species

I often wished that I needed a waterproof coat as this is the one ...

I hated the protected species ones - ordered a few styles but found the shiny technical fabric odd. Not a fan of pattered linings so Joules etc were out. Really like RAINS and Tretorn, but settled on this Hunter one. It’s nice and lightweight but very waterproof (I live on scotland so it’s been tried and tested) www.magrigg.co.uk/hunter-women-s-original-lightweight-rubberised-jacket-dark-olive.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1Z-h1fel4gIVF_hRCh20qQ-BEAQYBSABEgLdw_D_BwE
