I decided I need a denim jacket for the spring/summer season. My current one is about 15 years old (not joking!) from Gap, I love it but it's a blazer style so doesn't go with everything. I'm size 8/10 and petite. I ordered this jacket from River Island and just tried it on. It fits, the proportions are right across the shoulders and in the length of the arms, which I'm happy about, but the length of it seems almost cropped. Not fully cropped, but shorter than I'm used to. Is the norm now? I noticed lots of the tops I liked were cropped (definitely, noticeably cropped!) How long is this likely to be a trend? I'm worried that the jacket will date quickly and I'd like to get at least a few years out of it! I'm mid 40s and whilst I like to be stylish, I'm not a slave to it and certainly feel too old to wear a lot of what I saw in the shops today.
