Who sells a really ridiculously good quality white t-shirt?

Just that really!

I love love love white t-shirts but mine are all on their last legs
Ideally I'd like to get a couple of new ones with:

  • A fashionable cut
  • Fabric that will withstand lots of machine washes and not show massive crinkles after I've had to lift it up for breastfeeding
  • High street budget

Any help much appreciated!

I don't know I'm afraid. But I can say not Dorothy Perkins. I found this out when I glanced in a mirror, my strapless bra had slipped and the colour and outline of my areola were brazenly showing through.

You live and learn.

Top of the high street -j crew. They last ages. Hush plain slubby cotton tees are good quality unlike a lot of their other stuff. Jigsaw tees often are too. Uniqlo always gets good reviews but they are pretty plain. Much cheaper than the others though.

AesopsMables · 16/05/2019 21:36

I second J Crew - lasts forever and keeps shape

Loooper · 16/05/2019 21:40

Following with interest! I have tried Hush but found them crap quality to be honest.

JaneyJimplin · 16/05/2019 21:44

My best simple v neck tshirts have come from Massimo Dutti

g0bbledyg00k · 16/05/2019 21:44

Uniqlo

Sexnotgender · 16/05/2019 21:46

I bought one from white stuff today. It feels like good quality, we shall see.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 16/05/2019 21:46

This is very good.

I watched it at double speed.
MajesticWhine · 16/05/2019 21:48

I feel a bit mumsy saying this but I have quite a decent one from John Lewis - their own brand. I hope it's going to last.

ZaraW · 17/05/2019 06:32

J Crew tshirts aren't as good quality as they used to be, you can get them for a good price in the sales. A Cotton Story are really good so are Muji.

Jojoanna · 17/05/2019 06:34

I find gap white t shirts last

Panticles · 17/05/2019 06:42

Fat face

Gwynfluff · 17/05/2019 06:44

Arket - brilliant quality. Thick cotton. Can order in different styles

Xiaoxiong · 17/05/2019 06:49

I was in M&S yesterday and they seem to have taken on the "good quality basics" mantra on board, at least for some things - I got two t-shirts (and some jeans) that seem great, not see through or too boxy on me.

greenteam · 17/05/2019 08:40

I bought a Uniqlo white t-shirt last year after the recommendations on here. They are indeed good qaulity but the style was not good on me. Too straight-up and down, and too long. It did not accommodate boobs and the bottom awkwardly scrunched up on my hips.

JaceLancs · 17/05/2019 09:49

My best t shirts have come from tkmaxx - probably their own brands but try Cynthia rowley, and arabella Addison I think
Some of mine are on their 3rd summer
They don’t shrink or need ironing unlike M & S
Small amount of stretch to flatter but not enough to cling
I bought navy black and white in vest style and short sleeved
Was so impressed bought pale blue and coral this summer

PartridgeJoan · 17/05/2019 09:54

My best white t shirt came from H&M! Great fabric, good cut, has lasted years

TheCanterburyWhales · 17/05/2019 11:09

I also bought Uniqlo last year after a M thread.
Awful- not the quality which is middling, but the cut. They fit like big standard t shirts used to be when there was only one shape available. Too long and boxy. Like men's.

M&S mid price range are v good. Last summer they were about £12.

myidentitymycrisis · 17/05/2019 11:25

I also have Cynthia Rowley from TK Maxx. They are not 100% cotton but feel lovely and drape nicely. I have black but am looking for them in other colours this year

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/05/2019 11:33

Uniqlo U. Really thick smooth cotton, don't even crease in the wash. Crew neck and straight cut only though. But only £10!

Stuckforthefourthtime · 18/05/2019 02:43

Thank you all! Off to internet shopping 😊

I've got a really good one from Jack Wills. It's a bit 'thicker' so I like that you can't see through it.

Blankscreen · 18/05/2019 06:44

I second m and s. Their relaxed crew is very nice material

Swiftier · 18/05/2019 11:26

Sunspel!
