Hi All, my DD is 10 and wears size 5 shoes. Her feet are also wide. I'm really struggling to get her sandals. Clarks don't go to that size, Next are too narrow, not tried M and S yet but last year were too narrow. We've tried adult stuff too but they just seem to slip off her.
Any one have any tips please???

try here if you are looking for more 'going out' type sandals, or here if you are looking for some more practical ones x

Thank you sleep - Matalan have a few possibles! Actually, one of my issues with sandals has always been that I like her to have something semi practical and supportive. Up til now Clarks have fit the bill. But those Matalan ones are very reasonable, so could possibly get them and the Regatta ones too (if she approves Wink)

Once again, appreciate the tips.

Have you thought about Saltwater sandals ?

Gwynfluff · 17/05/2019 06:47

Asos do some of their leather and non leather ones in wide fit. You could also try a size 6 sandal. That’s if she’s beyond the sandals aimed at younger girls

Thanks Trumpton - would you happen to know if Saltwaters are a wide fit? Poor girl, it's the straps across the foot that are always too narrow.
Hopefully as she grows her foot shape will change a bit as we seem to be in no mans land at the moment!

Gwyn, thank you. I'll have a look at ASOS. Size 6 doesn't work, they're too massive in every other respect, but thank you for the idea.

They are wide and also some styles come with a buckle across the foot .

Start rite go up to size 5. I've just bought dd some nice rose gold sandals which are good quality and have a bit of support. Agree about lack of choice - it's difficult to find shoes in general for older girls!

My Dd has Birkenstock sandals which would fit your spec.
