Long acrylic nails

I’m not sure if I’ve been watching too much Towie, but I’m really liking the look of long (probably acrylic) nails right now! I’m considering getting them done, I currently have Shellac but they are not as strong as acrylic so I can’t get them that long. I love Mrs Hinch’s nails and hands actually. Can long nails ever be classy? Talk me down! Or tell me about your long nails!

They are hated by a lot of people on here and there was a rather unpleasant thread recently about them but I have acrylic nails and love them. Got them done for a big event a couple of months back and now I love them. It's not cheap, I have infills and polish every 2 weeks but I'm fortunate that I can afford it and they make me happy.

Mine aren't supper long but I like bright colors and patterns. These are mine currently. Bit of an eighties vibe.....

the ones that arent super long arent too bad. the really long ones though make people look like thick bimbos.....but thats just my opinion. go for it if it makes you happy and you dont have to garden or do lots of housework or work with little kids

I love long nails, I've always had them, (currently growing them again as one broke and I hate them different lengths), but I really don't like that shape at all.
Just a personal thing, but I have mine more rounded, anyway that shape is so hard to achieve on natural nails with breaking them.

I like them. I had them for my wedding. I would get them again but not until I'm out of the nappy changing stage with DC!

I personally do not like them, I like my nails medium to short length, which is a hassle as they grow really thick and strong, I think for me a don't want to look anything like the TOWIE lot but if you like them then who cares. You will probably get judged though!

if you love them go for it. I just get a gel polish on my own nails, i tried the long acrylics but I couldn't go about my daily stuff with them,they just got in the way but they did look fabulous. To be honest anyone who thinks how someone has their nails is a indicator of a persons intelligence or social status well that says more about them than you.

I use my hands a lot and type a lot so don't like really long nails. How do you manage everyday tasks when they are that long?

I have gel extensions but for strength rather than length, I keep them shorter than the picture, mostly because of typing, gardening etc. I don't like the weird shape ones myself, I prefer traditional oval nails, but I paint them black which is unusual I grant you but I like black nails!

These are about as long as I like my nails to get. They are all mine - no artificial extensions.

Nail salon @GiveMeFiveMinutes I have no skill at all. I am too tight to get my toe nails done at the salon and they mostly look like a let a five year old loose on them😳

It's not hard to do everyday stuff with long natural nails, as of course they grow so you get used to it.
If you've suddenly gone from short to long then you'll probably struggle.

I have never had false nails, and I struggle to type when mine get too long.

These are mine, I'm 3 weeks in so they're not fresh and look a bit worn. They're usually a better shape but I had them stiletto shaped and didn't want to lose the length so went for coffin shape and I'll keep the length when I get them filled and get the shape defined. They were matte too but I've spent a lot of time with my hands in water this week and it's not good for the polish. I can do everything, it's only when they're short I struggle!

These are my own nails. Former nail biter here too! I must say, I do like acrylics. Thay can be really nice! And a cool way to express your personality (I've grown out of my blue hair and undercut stage!)
