Can you find me a "not a wedding" dress?

I'm getting married in August....I'm having a nightmare trying to find something to wear. I definitely don't want a wedding dress and was thinking something along the lines of the photo I have attached, but have no idea what search terms to use or where to look!

I just ordered loads. I've got mine from Roman Originals. There was a Gina Bacconi one I loved but it just didn't fit me right....I'm an apple and can't have a seam across the waist at all...which ruled out loads. In the end of gone for a shift dress....which is what I normally wear....but obviously for a reason! You'll get there. If you have time why not get a personal shopper appointment at a big store to see what they find? Debenhams, John Lewis etc

What about a wedding shop which sells prom dresses too, would that help?

Try a bunch of search terms like:

Cocktail dress
Evening dress
Sophisticated evening dress

And use the word gown as well as dress.

Try John Lewis personal shopper service, if near London Liberty and Selfridges are great. Bring along pics of things you like a bit like you would to a new hairdresser :)

Do not be fooled if sites you haven't heard of seem to be doing dresses with a price too good to be true - they will not arrive how they look and you'll be down the cost and import charges with barely any chance of a refund!
