Awards Lunch -Help

So I am due to attend an awards lunch where there is a decent chance that the team I lead will win an award so I would like to look fabulous should I have a keepsake photo of the occasion.

It's a fairly creative industry so don't need to look too corporate and I am relatively adventurous with my style.

Budget: £500 for full outfit

I am 5'8, 40 years old (but apparently look younger), size 12, quite slim limbs but large chest, blondey light brown hair, green eyes. Suit baby blue, navy, red if it's not too orange, pastel yellow at a push, pink, cerise pink, neutral beige, mint, grey, gold but not silver, orange, green, brown. Frills tend to look a bit fussy and try hard on me.

As it's a lunch, I'm looking for something not too formal. I quite like the idea of a jumpsuit but worry I will look top heavy and that i maybe too long in the body to pull it off. I like the prairie dresses that are currently in style but would really like something classic with a twist. Any help or ideas really welcome.

Thanks Henry. I really love the second one but won't work with my boobs unfortunately. The first is nice and would work better. Something along those lines would work but would like something a bit dressier.

Karen Mullen has some lovely things. And lots of different price points.

Do you like Whistles? They have 20% off at the moment and are my favourite for a bit fancy but not formal.

Hobbs green? (you didn't mention green) I really like the neckline of this one and can see it working well on somebody a bit taller (than me Smile ) Might not fit your 'with a twist' brief though:

Doh, you did say not green. Soz. I will stick with my implied recommendation of block colour rather than faffiness - it looks better in pictures.

Thank you! I really like the self portrait dress.

Love green but just never been able to pull it off. The neckline is lovely too but probably not great over a large bosom.
