Footner exfoliating socks

Used the Footner exfoliating socks a week ago and nothing has happened! From reviews I was expecting my skin to shed like a snake’s to reveal baby soft skin beneath. But so far all that’s happened is the skin is very dry and flaky - like the very top layer is coming off and underneath it’s still dry skin! I’ve been having a bath every day as I read that soaking the feet would help speed up the process. Anyone else used these and what were the results/how long did it take to work? Do I need to be more patient or did they just not work for me?

When I used them, nothing happened for ages then suddenly all hit at once - iirc about at a week. Is the skin feeling 'tight' at all? Mine certainly felt like something was going on...

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/05/2019 09:10

How long did you leave them on for? The longer they are on, the quicker it happens. If you just left them on for an hour, it will be just over a week before they start to shed. I did it last night and left them on all evening, my skin is shiny and slippery and they will begin to peel in a few days.

I tend to put an old pair of socks over mine and sleep in them. Does not harm and I have very sensitive skin.

It does work - but can take up to a week to start,

radioactiveimagination · 14/05/2019 09:26

Ok thanks, I did just leave them on for an hour, too scared to leave them longer! Somethings definitely happening but the peeling is only like what you get with sunburn iyswim, I was expecting a deeper peel. Sounds like I need to wait a bit longer, it's been exactly a week today. Next time I may sleep in them too! Or maybe my trotters are just gnarled and calloused beyond salvation (they have been somewhat neglected since I was pregnant with DS11mos) Blush

Be aware that after the "big peel" your feet become really soft and blisters become likely. I made the mistake of wearing some new sandals and got the worlds worst blisters.

radioactiveimagination · 14/05/2019 10:38

Oh crikey, thanks for the warning!

Soak your feet before bed and wear socks ALL THE TIME.
Keep your feet warm and they will peel in the next 3-4 days.

radioactiveimagination · 14/05/2019 10:43

Thanks for the tip notatwork, I will pop some socks on now

Yes, wear socks as much as you can (sleep in them too) and it'll all fall off soon.

My feet go dry and cracked for a few days/a week and then it all starts to peel off in large sheets/flakes depending on whether feet are warm and slightly damp (socks!) or completely dry and aired.

Former masks are great!

OldJoseph · 14/05/2019 13:01

I'm the same OP, did it about a week ago and nothing, other than they look dry.

troppibambini · 14/05/2019 14:07

It sounds like they are just about to "go" mine go almost papery just before, soak every night and try wearing trainers and socks for a couple of days if you can.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/05/2019 14:15

The only thing I hate is that weird feeling under your foot when you move your toes, like it's baggy. When that goes it's golden. I love the peeling.

They are buy one get one half price in Boots at the mo!

radioactiveimagination · 14/05/2019 14:20

OldJoseph let me know if/when anything starts happening!

OP posts:
OldJoseph · 14/05/2019 14:35

Will do.

OldJoseph · 14/05/2019 14:36

If I try again, I'll leave them on much longer and do it winter time where I'm more likely to wear socks.

banivani · 14/05/2019 14:42

I didn't think Footner was as good as ones I'd tried previously from TonyMoly.

DeadBod · 14/05/2019 14:55

Ours was over a week before they started, dh was convinced that we'd been ripped off. We had dry skin all over the house.

radioactiveimagination · 14/05/2019 14:58

Deadbod, so they did start working eventually?

OP posts:
DeadBod · 14/05/2019 18:41

Yes, just took longer than we expected. I'd certainly do them again.

goose1964 · 14/05/2019 20:15

Mine only half worked and within days my feet were back to their old selves. I'm managing much better with a great foot cream and a ped egg

radioactiveimagination · 14/05/2019 20:32

Goose how long did you leave them on for? Did you soak your feet afterwards too?

OP posts:
SouthWestmom · 14/05/2019 20:34

I tired it and it was crap. Vague peeling in places after a week.

winterisstillcoming · 14/05/2019 20:36

I've finished mine a week ago but it did take a while but once it got going it went mental. Mine didn't do the classic peeling sheets though. It kind of went like small crazy paving which had to be picked off in very small bits. It did work apart from a stubborn patch I picked too hard at.

Hopefully the magic will happen in the next few days.

pelirocco123 · 14/05/2019 20:38

Sock your feet every night, they will peel like crazy . The results didn't last long for me
