A lovey friend is having a laid back summer wedding in the grounds of a charming farm. It's outside /large tent thingumy on grass - so flats or wedges on feet ... Bride had suggested a floaty dress type theme for those of us in the wedding party all day and into the night. ( think evening only peeps are in what ever they like ?) I agreed that I'm happy to go 'floaty' but no clue as to what to buy !!! Or from where !! Any ideas wise mumsnetters ?
I'm 5'8" and size 12 in jeans but 18 in tops as busty. I have time to take a bigger dress in ( as have done this before with a fab friend who sews for pin money )

Thank you for any help !

Colours and budget?

MsSquiz · 12/05/2019 17:00

ASOS has quite a few if you refine the search to maxi occasion/bridesmaids dresses

Like these:

Wrap dress could be good based on your proportions.

wildhairdontcare · 12/05/2019 17:16

Pretty kitty fashion is worth a look too.

imsorryiasked cololurs... I think I can wear most except bridal ones ... i don't have any favs ( I'm scandi/ blonde ) budget... erm if I can wear it again then don't mind spending up to three figures.

Have a look in h & m. Just bought two lovely dresses and a jumpsuit that would fit the bill.

SpeckledyHen · 12/05/2019 20:26

If I was your size ( sadly i’m low to the ground ) I would be straight onto Anthropology.

Youngandfree · 12/05/2019 20:28

Mint velvet may have something I love their stuff!!

Corcra · 12/05/2019 20:30

Would you wear a maxi skirt and a beaded top?

Or anything floaty and beautiful from needle and thread is always pretty and comfortable to wear.

I don't get this whole thing of having a theme that includes guests -

I feel so old

I tried this on and it was very flattering to my G cup bust.

Wow! Thank you all for all the suggestions and links. I'm trying to take some time off to go to the city and do a serious day of shopping and trying on. Think that's easier than buying online due to my proportions.
Thank you all so much . X
