Ankle boots that 'dip' in the front..?

Bootityboots · 12/05/2019 15:53

I'm after a pair of ankle boots to wear with skirts and dresses. I'd like some that dip a bit at the front as I think they would be more flattering. I don't have a massive budget but, for a gorgeous pair, I'd probably go up to about 70 quid gulp
Anyone have any recommendations? Open to different colours, just want a nice pair to go with skirts and dresses please!

Oops, forgot a couple of important things: I'd like a bit of a heel and they do need to be comfy!

I was literally going to write this exact post! I won a pair on eBay exactly like you're describing a few years ago and they were from Matalan. Might be worth checking there.

The only other ones I've seen are a brand called Hudson. There are some nice beige suede ones on Amazon but they're £100 which is a bit steep for me...

I'd welcome any other suggestions though!

Thanks Teatimeted!
I have been keeping an eye on Ebay- there was a pair from Ecco the other day but I hesitated and they went -kicking myself now! I'll check out Matalan.
The hudson ones are just the style I'm looking for but too pricey for me too!

I have extensively scoured the internet over the past few days for those exact boots!! I have a pair but they are sparkly and have a massive heel so not ideal for every day wear, as much as I love them. I have found these, all Debenhams online. Not 100% what I was after but a start...

Just seen the Hudson ones, sorry mine are probably not what you’re looking for if that was the style you wanted. Sorry!

leatherflamingle · 12/05/2019 16:38

I had both Hudson and Sam Edelman in this style , both eBay (sometimes also huge reductions on Amazon ). Much more flattering !

Miseryisabutterfly · 12/05/2019 16:39

Topshop had some recently. Anine Bing too, though they’ll be pricier.

Bootityboots · 12/05/2019 16:45

They are very pretty SummersB- unfortunately I would ruin any sense of glamour with my complete inability to walk in heels that high!
Thanks for all the ideas- off to have another google and scour Ebay again!

Ash Jess boots, I've got 2 pairs, black & browny-grey. They look great with dresses, and rolled-up jeans and are really really comfy.

I've got these and love them, comfortable, flattering and look good with jeans and dresses. I got 20% off with a code I found online so worth looking around www.clarks.co.uk/c/Mila-Myth/p/26146246

Carvela Rida boots. They are in their comfort range and I have them for use with dresses and skirts.

Greenvalleymama · 12/05/2019 18:49

Next did a black suede version a year or two ago with a very wearable heel and slight western feel, I have a pair and luffs them 💕

You might get a pair on eBay for a good price.

Greenvalleymama · 12/05/2019 18:51

Next also did a mock croc black version which were somewhere between an ankle boot and a shoe boot, they look amazing on but rub on my ankle bone and are horrible to wear!

Nice taupe suede Kurt Geiger ones on Shopaholics

Amazon have got loads of this kind of style - not sure if you’re after something higher heeled or dressier than that though.

Thank you so much everyone, lots of lovely boots to look at!

Particular thanks for no one telling me off for wanting to wear boots with dresses- I did a quick mumsnet search and every thread was just about how crap boots look with dresses Blush

Following.

I need a pair with a dip in the front, but as I’m a size 42 it’s not easy.

Bootityboots · 12/05/2019 19:49

Oh, I love the Ash Jess boots but can't find them in stock anywhere!

DubiousGoals · 12/05/2019 19:53

@Bootityboots I got both my pairs off eBay!!

Bootityboots · 12/05/2019 19:58

I can't see any in my size at the moment but I will set an alert, thanks!
