Hat for the summer

We are going away and hopefully it will be warm. Normally I wear a baseball cap or old flappy hat. Help me find something a bit more glam. What do normal thirty somethings wear to keep the sun off?

Me too also prefer baseball caps! I've tried to find something else but..

Sleepismysuperpower - I have one like that but find it really impractical as it blows off, gets in my face etc. I guess if I was sat on a yacht with a drink it would look fantastic but not for running after the dc.

I'm glad I'm not the only baseball cap wearer - is their a feminine baseball cap? I tend to nick dh caps so maybe I need something a bit more girlie, but not young or pink.

Big floppy hats are out, this seasons must have hat is (unfortunately) the bucket hat.

When I was looking last year accessorize and new look had some caps with patterns (although I ended up with a plain black one) but I went to loads of shops before I found any.

I do like the look of visors (the straw ones) but when I tried them on I looked ridiculous! I think they probably look quite chic some people but not me ...

I still have my bucket hat from about ten years ago. Unfortunately it makes me look like a flower pot man. I think a look round town for a hat seems in order
