Hair extensions

After 10+ years of trying to grow my hair, it's not about 3" past shoulder length. I get it cut every 10 weeks and I'm pleased with the colour. I have no fringe and I keep it in centre parting. It's an ugly z shaped wave at the back and the sides and front are straight - not a nice straight but a frizzy straight. It's also a bit on the thin side so hangs limply at times.

I twist it into a low bun for work. I'd love to have long wavy type hair - loose long waves that is thick and full of volume and looks natural.

Would some
Extensions help?!

I found them hard work and expensive for real good ones plus the maintenance of tightening/refitting.
I've only ever had them sewn in and the first day it's a killer.
But I know there's lots of more modern techniques out there now, it's just finding some ones who really good and will do as little damage to your hair as possible.

I just use hairchoiceextensions.com backstage clip in now when I want my hair "done" they will also colour match your hair as best they can from decent pictures

In had nano ring ones. Cost a fortune to have put in and it took hours.

I hated them 😫 they were so heavy and I couldn't wash my hair properly etc.

I lasted 5 days and had them taken out. Was such a waste of money.

Why not try clip in ? Foxylocks and easilocks do some great thick wefts - if you don’t like the look you can just take them out, they don’t cost much either (compared to traditional extensions )

I have tape ins very natural and lightweight very pleased with them, turned my fine hair into hair that swishes! Love them.

twirlypoo · 12/05/2019 09:49

I have tape ins and love them too! Mine are for volume but I have added about 1.5 inches onto my hair with them too.

I have had every kind of extensions in the past and they drove me bananas, so tape definitely works best for me!

If you are in the north east then I couldn’t recommend foxy hair extensions any higher. Absolutely amazing girls and the owners are lovely (I don’t work for them, just really ratethem after having nightmare with extensions in the past!)

I had Nano rings. Stupidly expensive, couldn't wash or dry hair properly , got matted easily and used to pull out when I combed my hair. I'd try clip ins if I were you

My hair is the same as yours op and I got them a few weeks ago as I was getting so upset at the thinness of it.
I got bonds and truly can say it’s one of the best things I’ve done, my confidence has increased day to day, I straighten it when I’ve washed it but then don’t have to use them until the next wash. I totally was amazed at that but I think it’s because I assumed all hair would go frizzy/messy through the day/overnight but obviously it was just my hair as these behave perfectly and I guess keep my hair looking ok.
I only got shoulder length to match my hair but definitely will go longer if my hair grows better.
It really is like my hair has suddenly got so easy and I’m like wow no wonder some people look at you like you are crazy talking about your awful hair if they themselves have good hair.
