Shorts for fat thighs

Going somewhere very hot and really need some new shorts. It’s just too hot not to have some. However I have been blessed with lifelong chunky thighs, I’m also short.
I know nothing will look great but would be better if as flattering as possible.
Has anyone seen anything....

I tired these on the other day. Linen, comfy, elasticated. I would have bought them if I’d actually needed a new pair of shorts.

Uniquo seem really good, why are they only in the south.

What is the cut like, I usually buy a 16 so they are big?

They (uniqlo) have a thing on their website where you enter height, weight, pick a body shape, etc and they recommend a size for each item. It’s worked ok for me but I’m a different size, I do have chunky legs though.

I haven't rtft but have chunky thighs and am short. I live in the Columbia / north face type skirts with built in shorts underneath. More flattering on me than shorts, cool to wear and the undershorts stop my thighs rubbing in the sweaty heat. (Plus modesty)

Another Boden chino shorts fan here - I'm size 16, so not the slimmest, and I bought a pair last year and lived in them on holiday - a nice fit and very comfortable. Don't pay full price though - get on their mailing list and wait for the inevitable offers to turn up.

Cheap - i bought mens shorts from primark, like climacool type to stay cool
Also linen from yours or asda are great

I’ve got some linen type shorts from Primark! They’re sort of ruffled around the waist and loose on the thighs (I’m not describing them well) and come in a few colours

Shape works really well with my chunky thighs

Fat Face's Bermuda work well for me & I have very thick legs. Nothing like the model looks, they are down to just above my knees when rolled. They come up quite large.

I have found the holy grail of shorts this year. I'm highly unfashionable though, but they are very comfortable and cool, and rather inoffensive. Excuse the legs (mine)
