What colour are they? I’m struggling to find eye shadow which is right colour. Can’t decide if blue or green or grey or just weird!
Excuse redness. Just waxed and henna’d

If you're anything like me (and your eyes do look very like mine in colour) then they'll change with the light. Am I right?

toucantoo · 09/05/2019 17:53

Very pretty eye colour! I'd say it's a deep teal Hmmbut as the previous poster says, I imagine they change so are sometimes more blue and sometimes more green.

Inthemane · 09/05/2019 17:58

Really lovely colour! I seem to remember purple tones will bring out the green, while copper colours bring out the blue... might be wrong!

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 09/05/2019 19:49

Yes they do seem to change. I wore a brown today and it was horrible. Palette my mum got me from Avon. Nice feel but odd colours - cream, pink, taupe and a mushroom brown. Not right but I haven’t got loads to spend to get new things. I have an urban decay thing in minor sin which is lovely but need something to layer with it. It’s kind of creamy sparkly

I'm not sure what colour your eyes are (very nice and unusual btw!) but I'm thinking a subtle plum or navy would look lovely. Even forest green.

For a more casual look I'd probably choose a pale grey and blend it out.

NoTheresa · 09/05/2019 21:30

Blue eyes. Nice ones too!

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 09/05/2019 21:35

So try a bronze maybe?

Try purple you'll be amazed

BusterGonad · 09/05/2019 23:00

Purple and gold could look good.

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 10/05/2019 17:08

Ooh I have a gold unused. Will go play and maybe post pics for opinions!

Your eyes look a bit like mine Op- I'd call them blue- but they are a murky grey/green sort of blue- not a clear blue. Do you have a gold flacks around the pupil? I can't really tell from the picture. I think this eye colour is tricky because it's not a definite warm or cool colour for matching clothes or make-up to. It's quite neutral I think.

I tend to wear neutral coloured taupe colours for lining and shading the crease and outer corner. If i want a shimmery lid colour I like a light bronze shade which, a peachy pink, or if I'm feeling brave then a subtle green. I've tried plum colours to bring out the green- and they do but they also make my eyes look red and tired so i avoid. I tend to use dark brown and dark grey for eye liner.

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 10/05/2019 19:14

Trying gold. I think you’re right about them being a mix and the warm/ cool question is so so true. I err towards cool with pale skin and strawberry blonde hair (was red when younger ) but also think a bit warm. How fascinating. Would you post a pic of yours if happy to share? Thank you!

Warm earthy browns with maybe leaning towards terra-cotta browns? I think you're going to sparkly as well. If you're going so sparkly you need to have more shading and highlighting if you know what I mean.

BusterGonad · 11/05/2019 14:30

Maybe something like this?

BusterGonad · 11/05/2019 14:30

This, sorry!

Oh that’s nice. I didn’t do a full eye just plonked some of the bronze on next to lashes to see how it compares to gold. I’m not brave enough to glitter it up in the day. It’s one I got a while back for night and never used

Are they coloured contact lenses?
Lovely colour eyes,

BusterGonad · 11/05/2019 16:49

I just think with the Revlon palette it has the Browns, greens and Cooper shades. I'd wear the Revlon one, I have brown eyes with a green center. Experimenting is my fav thing and so far I don't suit pale blues and pastel shades yet I'm cool toned. I like jewel colours, golds, and at the moment I'm experimenting with this bad boy! It's a bit out of my comfort zone but I think I've mastered it! Grin

They’re not deliberately coloured lenses IYKWIM - they are I suppose a very pale blue to make them visible in the case but they’re for vision not vanity!

OP posts:
MrsFoxPlus4 · 11/05/2019 21:23

They are blue, blue eyes reflect light that’s why they look different shades sometimes. Warm browns, oranges & plums look insane on blue ehes

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 11/05/2019 21:31

The first pic was no lenses if that helps. I’m leaning to trying bronzes thank you all

Blue

BusterGonad · 12/05/2019 12:38

Op I've just bought the Revlon Adventurous eyeshadow palette, the quality isn't that good but I will test it out properly tomorrow and put a picture up. It's quite sheer which sometimes is a good thing. I bet you could get it on eBay really cheap. Anyway I'll update tomorrow.
