Face moisturiser with spf

choc27 · 08/05/2019 19:12

I have just started using The Ordinary retinoid 2% and understand that I need to use an spf with it. I can only use non comedogenic products and am struggling to find a face moisturiser with spf that is non comedogenic and a reasonable price.
Would be greatful if anyone could point me in the direction of one?!

I use a La Roche Posay one, not too pricey. If I'm only using a serum and sunscreen, then I use the Bioré Watery Essence one.

Frazzlesandacoke · 08/05/2019 19:21

The Body Shop to a few reasonably priced ones - this is my favourite www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/face/moisturisers-with-spf/skin-defence-multi-protection-essence-spf50/p/p001071

Simple age regenerating face cream

choc27 · 08/05/2019 19:34

The body shop one and nivea q10 aren't non comedogenic, well not that I can see in the description.
Thanks for the advice @Afterthestorm.

Simple might be a goer, thanks!

Hey! I found 2 really nice ones in tkmaxx today for about £10 - one was Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream spf 50 which I am definitely going to use a lot of this summer 😊

MissKittyFantastico84 · 08/05/2019 19:42

CereVe Daily Moisturiser is great! Think it's got everything you're after and affordable. You can get it in Boots etc. Smile

thinkingcapon · 08/05/2019 19:50

The amount of spf in a moisturiser is virtually nil
You need a separate sunscreen

The amount in a moisturiser is minimal and massively watered down by the moisturiser so the spf rating in it is on average less than half of what it states it is

Spaghettio · 08/05/2019 20:11

Every year I am ferocious in making sure my kids are sunscreened. I was always getting burnt on my forehead and nose because my moisturiser didn't have spf.

I've been using this, last summer and on a recent holiday in a tropical country and didn't burn once.

Good luck

Oh I think that's exactly the same thing that was just recommended! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cmagic7 · 08/05/2019 20:24

Dermalogica Age Smart Dynamic Skin Recovery Spf 50!!!

choc27 · 08/05/2019 20:58

Dermalogica over budget. No7 doesn't say non comedogenic.

OK so if moisturiser no good then I need a facial sunscreen, non comedogenic.
Thanks I'll keep looking!

I use Simple SPF 30 cream in the winter and Superdrug SPF 30 anti-aging fluid in the summer!
I agree with previous poster that you need a dedicated product when the sun is stronger.

evilharpy · 09/05/2019 12:13

I've been using this cheapy Superdrug one and am very happy with it. I have rosacea and some suncreams irritate my skin but this seems to be fine.
