Swimwear help, please!

I really struggle with swimwear. I have no idea what kind suits my shape best, and I had a baby a few months ago so would really like to get it right this year.

I can post a photo of body shape if it helps, but I think I’m pear shaped. I don’t have an overly feminine shape really, but since having baby, I obviously have a slightly wobbly tummy and bigger ‘love handles’ than before (god I hate that phrase, but I can’t think what they’re called...)

When I have tried swimsuits in the past, I tend to end up looking like a 7 year old girl. They all seem to have really high legs now as well and I can’t be doing with that level of hair maintenance!

I’m not keen on tankinis or those wrap style swimsuits, I’m 29 and want to wear bikinis but I don’t think I can anymore Grin

Any ideas for what might suit me?

Yes you can wear a bikini. The good news about them being sold separately is if you need a bigger bottom than top, it's easy to do now.

I'm roughly a size 20 and I've recently started holidaying regularly in Greece. Bikinis are absolutely the way to go and (thanks to some encouragement from some very kind people on here), I shall be rocking a hot pink bikini this summer and not caring that I don't have the body of Elle Macpherson.

You'll be fine Smile

Oh, and for a pear shape, I gather the idea is to have a more detailed top half which will draw the eye away from the bottom. Something like some of these maybe?

Have you looked at high waisted styles? So many retailers now do mix and match tops and bottoms so you can choose different styles. Something like this?

Thank you both! High waisted bottoms don’t suit me sadly as I have a really short torso. It would be the solution to all my problems otherwise! Interesting about patterned top half, good tip

I love Miraclesuit swimsuits. They hold you in but look good as well
