Really need some clothes, but just plain stuff would be good. I'm short and about a stone overweight.

peacocks have a range of basics.

It depends on what you consider basics. Underwear , T-shirts , jeans , shirts, trousers or skirts.

For me I get my skinny jeans from next they're about £22 a pair, high waisted and they wash really well and have lasted.

Vest tops I buy from m&s in their underwear section. Usually get 3 for 2 on them.

Blouses/ shirts I go to Zara. As the quality is good and not silly money.

Warehouse is good also.

I used to go to primark , h &m etc but the quality has got worse recently.

Primark or Matalan or George
I have basics from all three above which have lasted at least three years and still wearing them.

Agree with next skinny jeans, I currently am wearing a pair that were £22 3 years ago! I don't buy my jeans from anywhere else.
I'm struggling to find decent quality reasonable t-shirts though at the moment.

I think the quality of some of the Tu clothes by Sainsbury's is quite good.

Uniqlo for knitwear, Primark for basics like T-shirts and vests, H&M for dresses and more interesting prints. Tesco can be hit and miss but I have found many a gem there.

Thank you. I meant tops, plain dresses that sort of thing, yes skinny jeans! Whenever I look in any of these shops all I see is really bright and patterned stuff. What am I doing wrong? Prepared to spend a bit more than average if necessary.
