Going with 3 friends to a concert next weekend, going for few drinks & something to eat first, it's ages since I've been out like that & I want to feel I look good, totally lost my way with clothes. Live in dog walking clothes or work clothes these days 😖Middle aged - size 10/12.

Is it a seated or standing concert? That may help determine footwear. Also what type of music/concert is it? Prob Coloured skinny jeans nice smart casual top nice statement jewellery. Converse or comfy boots or sandals (depending on weather and weather standing dancing or seated) and little jacket.

Philharmonic or Metallica?

Very middle of the road type music. Standing. Was thinking skinny jeans, trainers, denim jacket & a "cool" band T-shirt but wondered if all a bit mutton & are band T-shirt's old news now??

Don't wear anything you can't chuck in the washing machine. Otherwise - anything goes.

I always swear by black skinny jeans for these things. You can also wear a blue denim jacket with black jeans and avoid the whole "double blue denim" thing. I wouldn't worry too much about a top though, a long sleeved stretchy plain t shirt would be fine, people aren't going to look at your top that much if you're wearing a jacket the whole time. I'd also wear one of those khaki army jackets that everyone wears now. Handy big pockets too!

Mini dress with tights or jeans and top with a jacket, flat shoes or ankle boots, cross body bag to keep your purse and phone safe. Always better to go casual, dark colours and comfy in my experience. Not too dressy. Have fun!
