What to wear to a ball...

Please help!

I’m short, fat and mumsy and have to go to a posh fancy ball. I have no idea what to wear- please can you hit me with suggestions/examples.

What size/shape/bust are you and what colour is your hair/skin?

Dark bobbed hair and medium skin tone. Large bust and a bit of a saggy tummy, unfortunately I’m just a bit of s saggy frump in general and these events are not my thing, but I have to go.

How tall OP and your clothes / bra size . What colours do you like on you ?

I’m about5’2 with F cup bust. I don’t mind wearing any colour, but I think I’d like to stick to something dark for this event so that I feel less conspicuous. ( I wore a bright yellow dress to a wedding last year and felt like s bouncy castle)

Black is always always chic. Have you tried the personal styling service at one of the big department stores (JL)? They might give you some ideas you hadn't thought of. I've seen curvy women looking amazing at black tie events in a jumpsuit for example. If it's cut right! If you can afford it, treat yourself to a blow dry, eyebrow shape, and manicure the day of the event to make you feel extra confident. Wear a statement necklace or earrings (not both) to create a focal point. Wear some fabulous heels if they are your thing. You'll look great, chin up! X
