Crepey décolletage

Hello! I’m 46 and I’m finding that my beautiful upper chest is now beset by lines, wrinkles and is the colour of a whiskey drinker’s nose...
It looks horrible, is there anyway (low cost) to reverses this?
Snake oil? Unguents? Miracle products from poundland? An every day item from around the home?
Please help!
It’s not the only sign of ageing I have and am detesting but these furrows run as deep as the ones between my eyebrows and I feel less than my best.

Have you tried retinol? I buy Retimax from Amazon (for face, hands, neck and chest) and that's about five pounds.

dragonflyflew · 06/05/2019 04:03

Thank you. Can you use it in summer or does sun have to much impact?

Try vinegar and baking powder. It seems to work for everything else on MN Wink

But seriously, I feel your pain. I don’t think there is a cure. I dust my cleavage with guerlain shiny balls (that’s not what they’re really called) to detract attention from my crepey décolletage. I don’t think it actually works, but it makes me feel better.

Mummaofmytribe · 06/05/2019 04:34

I feel your pain. I've just accepted it and am buying higher necklines and trying scarves but do worry I look a bit isadora Duncan 😁

WoahThereMama · 06/05/2019 08:00

This is the best I’ve tried so far and has made a visible improvement.

Prai

MiaCulper · 06/05/2019 08:31

Another vote for Prai. Noticeably less crepy after a week.

RhubarbIsEvil · 06/05/2019 08:36

That’s not a bad price!

AgentProvocateur hahaha , I thought you were serious re vinegar and bp for a minute!

Prai looks interesting, thank you, I’ll give it further investigation. As the rest of my body has gone to pot, this is the only part I’ve been happy to show off in recent years!

Definitely high SPF for two days after retinol.

dragonflyflew · 06/05/2019 19:39

RubberTreePlant is Prai retinol based? Is it safe to use as weather’s hotting up?
I used to use stuff by The Ordinary but was worried after the inventor died that they might not follow his original ethos and either use lesser quality ingredients or up the prices so haven’t looked at them for a while.

Prai is bloody wonderful - got rid of my crepe within a week - quite pricey to continue to buy but I couldn't be without it.
I'm 47.

dragonflyflew · 06/05/2019 20:00

That’s an amazing recommendation but all reviews I’ve read say the same thing! I’ve just ordered some! Thank you all Smile

Another vote for Prai. I actually couldn't believe how much difference it made to my rather ample decolletage. Bloody wonder product!

dragonflyflew · 06/05/2019 22:03

I must research the ingredients more fully, can it be used on the rest of my problem areas? Eg my whole bleddy body?!

OP posts:
fairiesandelves · 06/05/2019 22:22

Prai - amazing results. Get mine from M&S online - sometimes offers on

dragonflyflew · 07/05/2019 00:02

All you Prai users, would you use it anywhere else on your body or have you tried? I was thinking upper knees and back of hands specifically.
My skin is super duper dry and thin from extensive steroid creams for most of my childhood and I have terrible cracked skin on my feet which can be a symptom of one of my conditions and I’ve never found anything to truly soften my skin!

OP posts:
JMAngel1 · 07/05/2019 06:11

You could but it would work out very expensive - maybe see if Prai do a body or hand cream? M&S has very limited stock, so check out QVC or the Prai websits itself.

WoahThereMama · 07/05/2019 09:10

OP - I haven’t tried it but Prai now have a roller ball neck serum which a woman in M&S recommended using on the back of your hands. I didn’t buy it but she did have nice looking hands Grin

dragonflyflew · 09/05/2019 00:41

Ooh will check out roller ball too. I’m worried I may have left it too late to reverse ageing signs.
Have been a prolific sunbather since the 80s and ill health , insomnia, stress and shitloads of meds have taken their toll on my appearance!

dragonflyflew · 12/05/2019 19:40

Seriously impressed by the Prai after three days of usage the skin is almost completely smooth! Really strange but it’s definitely perked me up!
