How to work out what suits me?

I’m late 20s. I’m 4ft 10 and size 4/6. I don’t know how to dress. I don’t know what colours or styles would suit me. I have limited money but have a new job for the first time in my life I need to look presentable and polished. How do I achieve this?

First things first get a fabric tape measure and take measurements. Google body shape calculator - they will tell you what shape and type of clothes would suit.
Google colours for skin tone it get an idea of what would suit.
I know you said limited budget but if you want to impress you need to think less is more and add as you can.

Try on lots of things, and take photos. It's easier to tell from photos if things really suit you. Look at some petite bloggers for ideas and find out where does petite clothes so less altering is required.

Thanks for the ideas. I’m pale, with dark hair and green eyes.

I would say I’ve got a nice figure, with subtle (but small) curves.

I can’t afford alterations so will look into Petite ranges. Never thought of looking at bloggers for inspiration.

Colour and style analysis

That’s interesting actually, I just did the quiz. I’ve had colour analysis and style classes through House of Colour and the season from the quiz came out the same! So it’s definitely worth a try.

I am movie glamour according to the style quiz. This is hilarious (although oddly I guess I do get how they got there).

I think the issue you'll have op is your build. Getting options in petite sizes is hard, especially depending on you proportions. I second doing a good measure and seeing what online resource you can find. I am a curvy short arse and find ASOS petite an
ok starting point. Straighter petite way have other recommendations

Kibbe body styles changed my whole approach to my wardrobe. I started with Aly Art on YouTube. I just tried to find the ones I used to determine my shape, and think it was called Body Types Test.
