Anyone used SHEIN?

So I keep seeing their ads pop up on Instagram so decided to download the app. Everything is sooo cheap! I can get a pair of summer shoes, two t-shirts, a shirt and a going out top for under £50 and free postage. Looks like shipping takes a while 7-10 days but what is the catch?!

Thanks!

Bumping, as I've seen the ads and prices do look very, very good. Is it 'too good' ?

GrumpySausage · 05/05/2019 20:01

I've had two tops from them. One was great, well made and great fit. The other- well it's now a dusting rag and it's rubbish at that. I get the impression from other things I've read that the quality is hit or miss.

Oh and Rotita? All these companies have great looking clothes that I would love to order but I don’t because of the reviews.

I wonder if the majority of purchasers are happy but don’t report and it’s just the unhappy ones that review.

They have all been around for a while now and the clothes look so lovely I really want to buy but hold back haha

Mustbetimeforachange · 05/05/2019 20:09

I ordered a medium dress for my DD last summer (she's size 10-12). It was tiny & even the large was a little tight around the bust. It was a nice dress but I think they are made for very petite (? Chinese, I think they come from China) people.

Pipandmum · 05/05/2019 20:14

I’ve bought from them and sizing can be off. Two things fit one was ginormous. But all looked like they did in the ads. Quality not great but what can one expect for the money.

windysowindy · 05/05/2019 20:15

@mantlepiece don't use Rotita! I did and feel so stupid.
Silly sizing, bad craft and materials and impossible to return

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 05/05/2019 20:21

I've had a few bits from Shein. Think Primark quality, but some of the bits I really like.

I'm a size 20 and go by the measurements on the site and have actually had 2 items too big for me. I also check the reviews for everything.

Would I buy loads... no but it's ok for the odd summer dress and top

Theimpossiblegirl · 05/05/2019 20:23

Returns are a pain in the arse and you have to pay shipping costs to return items.

I’ll leave this here...

mantlepiece · 06/05/2019 08:49

Oh well what a shame. Best not then!

dogrilla · 06/05/2019 08:53

I got a dress that looked SO nice on their website but absolutely revolting in real life. Nylon, uneven seams and threads hanging off the edges. Was really annoyed with myself for falling for the pictures. Dread to think what factory conditions they are made in...

Fairylea · 06/05/2019 08:56

My dd ordered some things from them and when she returned them they took absolutely ages to refund and then only refunded part of the cost of the order - and we never found out why! Their customer service is absolutely dreadful, it’s impossible to speak to anyone and it’s all done through messages with people who don’t seem to speak English. We would never order anything from them again.

Theimpossiblegirl · 06/05/2019 09:39

They deduct the return shipping cost from your refund.

PinkOboe · 06/05/2019 09:46

The clothes look lovely in the ads but everything I’ve clicked on is 100% polyester so it’s a no from me

Rockbird · 06/05/2019 09:51

I love some of the logos on the tops. Sounds like they're not great, even allowing for the price.

CatyaPurella · 06/05/2019 15:52

Hmmm thanks Ladies, think I will give them a miss!
