Hair turned orange anyway to get back to blonde

DD 15 used a brown hairdye to dye her lovely blonde long hair at home. Tried to persuade her not to but went ahead and turned a very unnatural looking gingery brown. Then she did remover which removed brown so now are at light ginger. Its not really awful but its not great and he natural blonde is so much lighter.

DD wants to go to hairdressers to get it sorted and I have agreed to that if she can get it back to blonde. She was asking for brown still but that's going to be continual dyeing and she is saying blonde is OK. Looking online it seems to say hairdressers aren't insured for colouring under 16s hair so is hairdresser a bad idea. Any idea how to get it blonder or a more natural way of dyeing it a colour other than ginger if that's not possible. The ginger isn't that bad but blonde is so much nicer and she really doesn't want hair cut but growing ginger out with blonde hair is going to take forever and will look strange.

Thanks for any help. I am allergic to hair dye so never dyed my hair and not got a clue. Hair is a few inches below shoulder length.

To go back to blonde you want to be knocking the brassy tones out that are causing the orangey hue, a silver shampoo would be a good idea to start rather than layering more colour? Or try here, she seems really friendly and helpful 😊
