Wardrobe clear out - help me decide please!

I’ve had my eyes opened to how frumpy I’ve become and I’m having a big clear out, after buying some new tops this weekend.
I tend to keep clothes for a long time, interspersed with a couple of newer things every year to ‘try’ and keep up to date.
I work in a very corporate office, so I’m happy with work clothes but looking at throwing out some old casual stuff, but I’m dithering.
I’m currently overweight 😢 20-22, 5ft 9, with very dark brown hair & blue eyes.
On a scale of 0 (fine keep wearing) - 10 (hideous burn it). Please comment on the stuff I’m dithering on so I can decide to charity shop or not....

Are you likely to wear them again?

Blueeyesdarkhair · 05/05/2019 13:07

There’s more - pretty much resigned this to charity shop ....

Keep the beige cardigan. Throw away that brown jumper. I think the black patterned tunic could work if you dress it up with a nice long cardi/jacket and some neat shoes. Burn that horrendous white body warmer.

FrogInASock · 05/05/2019 13:09

If you need to ask, they need to go.

They do not seem to bring you any joy.

Blueeyesdarkhair · 05/05/2019 13:10

The dress / tunic thing is likely to be worn (with leggings and biker boots) sorry i’ll hand my S & B card in on my way out 🙈🙈.
I’m trying to be more modern .... t shirts, jeans, and jackets, losing the cardigans. Think I may need a push..., this is my issue I can’t seem to let go of things!

I don't like any of those cardigans/jumpers you posted in your second comment.

CaMePlaitPas · 05/05/2019 13:11

There is nothing wrong with a clear out OP! I'll do yours and you can come do mine Smile I'm pretty much in exactly the same situation, it's not easy!

applesarerroundandshiny · 05/05/2019 13:12

Does beige / brown suit your colouring or make you look a bit 'meh'?

I'm guessing the latter ..... if you have other clothes to wear then I'd chuck .

halfmoonbay · 05/05/2019 13:12

I'd probably keep the black pattered top and donate/bin/burn everything else. Everyone should step well away from 'waterfall cardigans' - not a good look on anyone.

Blueeyesdarkhair · 05/05/2019 13:13

The brown jumper is metallic bronze - I don’t think it suits my colouring... still throw away

Honestly?

Awful. Clothes you put on to be comfy and invisible. Depends on your priorities, but if you are starting to question your look get rid.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 05/05/2019 13:21

How old are you?

barryfromclareisfit · 05/05/2019 13:21

Sorry OP, this won’t do. You need to make your own decisions, not rely on others.

Easilyflattered · 05/05/2019 13:25

If you have very dark hair and blue eyes I'm not sure these autumnal colours are the best ones for you.

Keep the tunic thing, ditch the others, consider getting your colours done.

SimplyPut · 05/05/2019 13:26

Keep the tunic and burn the rest. You need a jersey blazer in navy!

Blueeyesdarkhair · 05/05/2019 13:30

I’m 42. I’m just starting to realise how old these things are 🙈.
barryfromclareisfit I’m decisive about other things, it’s just clothes I don’t seen to be able to part with.
I’ve had a spinal injury which has stopped me from being mobile (hence weight gain) and I think the ‘invisibility’ thing is true. But I’m looking to change that, going out now in a white modern top, dark blue jeans, and a striped blazer. Got a new red lippy and a good concealer.

I'd keep just the very first cardie.
