Are these Clarks shoes good for an interview, or clumpy (pic inc)?

They’re to wear with navy trousers. I’m 5’6”, female and happy in flats. I need to look professional and want to be taken seriously. Or should I go for a loafer style?

Not clumpy at all, very neat
What would you be wearing them with?

FrontRowSeat · 05/05/2019 09:13

Thanks Everything. I’d be wearing navy slim cigarette pants (so ankles will be visible), a lighter blue wool jacket by Oui and not sure of blouse yet.

What kind of environment is it? Is it suits? Now we're in spring, black with navy trousers feels a bit heavy and I might be inclined to look for something in a similar style but more lightweight colour/fabric. But with a suity dress code those will be absolutely fine.

Oh! Just looked closer at the colour, whoops! As I said, those will be fine. Navy/burgundy is a great combo.
(We're more of a jeans/blazer style and so could get away with a brighter colour)

Yes they do look black in the photo don’t they? I’ll order them and see what they’re like in real life. If they are burgundy I think they’ll be lovely.

Yes, I think they're fine for an interview. Not clumpy at all. Nice shoes.

Gorgeous. I've got similar style burgundy shoes and get lots of compliments so go for it.
