Shoe ideas for a formal event in June

I'm going to a formal event in June wearing a lovely dress from Ted Baker & an ivory jacket.

I now need to find need some closed toe shoes. Am after suggestions for stylish shoes with a low heel (nothing over 2 inches) that would suit the dress? I'm not used to thin/narrow heels (I tend to clump about in wedges or low heels) - and to make things worse have been struggling a bit with lower back problems, so they need to be pretty stable.

Finally, what colour do people think would be best? When I bought the address the shop assistant suggested nude but there isn't really much around in that colour way that I like. I thinking that anything pale and neutral would probably be ok, so taupe, champagne - or even silver??

I would definitely go for nude or possibly so barely there strapped sandals or something in a complementary colour like deep pink or red if you are feeling bold and it’s not too formal an even e.g.

Those pink shoes also come in beige and navy which might work if you want to dress down a but
