Anyone got a recommendation for a high street illuminating primer please?

Ive tried NARs, coverfx and also have estee lauder on my list but never bothered trying because i dont think illuminating priners do what you want. I think an illuminating powder brushed lightly over foundation is really what you want. So I use the This Works or coverfx acne primer (keeps my makeup in place) with nars or similar illuminating powder on top

Estée Lauder will give you a few sample sachets of theirs - its on offer at the moment too in JL .I like it .

@SpeckledyHen does the el have an illuminating effect? Or just like a regular primer?

SpeckledyHen · 04/05/2019 06:05

Elllllle It’s very subtle to be honest but I don’t like shine . It definitely smooths and helps with the application and lasting powers of the foundation.
It’s definitely not matt though !
There are a lot of good reviews on the JL website .

The Nuxe one from M&S is the best I've tried.

I got a sample of the Paul and joe one and it's really good

Sorry - PUR, not Nuxe
