Warm jacket for cold spring days?

I need a jacket. I have warm coats and gorgeous light jackets but I need a warm jacket for chilly spring days.

I suppose the ideal would be a Barbour type padded number but tbh I'm not that keen on the style. I like the 'mini puffer' type jackets that were all the rage a few years ago but not sure I can carry it off at 47.

I absolutely love the Protected Species city walker but they no longer make it and the bomber shape one didn't suit me at all.

It's to wear with slim jeans and trainers.

Any inspiration?

The barbour looks lovely but if you want a bum coverer, the jack Wolfskin Iceguard is great.

Ok I found this on the Jack Wolfskin website. I love it, but is it so two years ago and totally Mary Berry?

I think someone at Jack Wolfskin has been paying very close attention to Protected Species offering btw. Am interested.
