As per the title really. I've tried several over the years but not found one that is really great, either because it doesn't work, or looks caked on. Your top tips please!

Collection lasting perfection.

AliceRR · 03/05/2019 01:08

For blemishes or under eye?

I really like the make up forever ultra he - excellent coverage

Loubyloulou88 · 03/05/2019 02:27

Yes to Collection Lasting perfection! It's my fave and is so effective yet affordable.

BusterGonad · 03/05/2019 04:47

I really like the Benefit Boi big illuminating one (was Erase Paste) but it does give me eczema under the eyes if I use it too much, I have very sensitive eyes!
My one true love though is Dior Skin Flash brush pen type but it's so pricey.

Thanks ladies. I was thinking for coverage of blemishes mainly. I'll check some of those out

Armani has a great one

jcq17 · 03/05/2019 16:13

Revolution conceal and define is amazing and only £4 and I'm a makeup snob!

BusterGonad · 03/05/2019 17:04

My two suggestions are NOT for spots, illuminating ones will highlight any lumps and bumps, they are only good for dark under eye areas!

AliceRR · 03/05/2019 17:27

I find boing a bit drying and not keen on the colours for lasting perfection but lasting perfection does well generally so probably worth it if you can get a good colour

The Armani one ok. I really like their corrector for under eyes.

Laura mercier and Nars do great concealers too but all depends on your budget too

Similar price to the lasting perfection is the revolution ones from Superdrug, they are meant to be v similar to tarte shape tape which is also very good

Mac Pro long wear for spots and Veil [something] from Beaty and the Boutique for shadows

lindyloo57 · 03/05/2019 18:38

I can't find a concealer that isn't drying under my eyes, so had to stop using it, have tried nearly all that has been mentioned, not including the high end ones, can anyone help, I am 58 so have wrinkles as well as the dry under eyes, and I do use eye creams and serums.

CharlotteUnaNatalieThompson · 03/05/2019 18:59

Thanks all.

I'm happy to spend a bit for a good product, but didn't want to spend a fortune in something that turned out to be crap.

Think I might go for one of the cheap ones and see, then reserve the more expensive options for if that's no good.

I've got the veil one (Also can't remember full name) for under eye bits and it's ok, but not seeing my world on fire....

I have really dry skin that concealer and makeup would drag.
I found clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer, really very good.
It lets concealer and makeup just glide on the skin without leaving a trail of flaky peeling skin behind.

AliceRR · 03/05/2019 23:21

I’m recommending these concealers but I use mineral make up all over my face other than for eye concealer

I love laura mercier, Laura gelled and some Bare minerals

hugoagogo · 04/05/2019 07:07

For blemishes I like borjois healthy mix
For under the eyes their radiance reveal, both blend nicely and don't go cakey or crack.

Firsttimemama2017 · 04/05/2019 07:19

I really like the charlotte tilbury magic away concealer. It's really nice and moisturising

CharlotteUnaNatalieThompson · 04/05/2019 20:21

Funnily enough I find a Charlotte Tilbury sample of the magic concealer and tried that today. I actually think it's great, albeit on one go.

I tried to buy the collection lasting perfection one today, but sadly wasn't available in the Boots I went to.

@lindyloo57 you need Benefit Boi-ing Hydrating concealer. It has a ring of moisturizer and it is very hydrating for under eyes, I have very dry skin under my eyes and this one and the brighting are both really soft and creamy. I use the moisturizing one when eczema strikes!

BusterGonad thanks, I will pop into Benefit and try some.

BusterGonad · 05/05/2019 16:14

It feels quite greasy but sometimes you need it to be in order to hide the dryness. Sometimes you do need to check it doesn't settle into lines but that's no biggy for me as it looks better than horrible flaky skin!

ltk · 05/05/2019 16:17

What BusterGonad said. The brightening one is fab.
