Stan Smith sizing

Do they come up true to size? I know I'm very late to the party but I want to get some to wear this summer.

I'm usually a 7, not sure which size to order.

Thanks

I think they come up true to size. I’ve tried them on plenty of times, but never have them as the toe box as the end seems to press down on my toes. Everyone I know who has them says they’re very comfy.

I happened to be trying some on today (like you, I'm late to the party) and I'd say they run small. I'm usually a 6 or 6.5. I needed a 7 in Stan Smiths. I'd try a 7.5 if I were you.

Thanks very much, I hate my toes feeling squished.

I suppose I could always get an insole if slightly big.

I am a wide size four, and a four is generous, I wear an insole if I am wearing my black ones with opaques, always wear the white with trainer sock things. Mine are from the boys’ department though so perhaps the sizing is slightly different.

chloechloe · 03/05/2019 07:26

I would say buy them in your usual size assuming you’ll wear them with thin trainer socks. I love my pale pink ones. I think I also need a grey pair after seeing them on my neighbour!

MaryLennoxsScowl · 03/05/2019 08:28

I find they’re shorter than usual but quite wide - I have long thin feet - so my toes press against the end, which is annoying. If you have shorter toes you’d probably be fine!

HostessTrolley · 03/05/2019 08:35

I have very wide feet and usually buy size 6 for the width, Stan smiths in 5.5 are perfect on me.

I have periwinkle blue ones for the summer and charcoal grey suede ones for now,

SrSteveOskowski · 03/05/2019 13:20

I think they're bang on. I fall between a size 3 and a 4 and I tried on 3, 3.5 and 4. The 3 were a bit small, the 4 were too big, but the 3.5 were absolutely spot on. I have very narrow feet for reference.

Wallabyone · 03/05/2019 13:22

Another one who thinks they run true to size. In a wide-ish 6 and take a 6 in them.

Wallabyone · 03/05/2019 13:24

I mentioned these on another thread, they're by Arigato and I bought some last month in white. I've been wearing Stans for the last few years and these are more comfortable and look slightly smarter. More expensive but worth a look if you'll get lots of wear out of them.

KaliforniaDreamz · 03/05/2019 13:25

i am a size 4 and wear the kids ones size 4.5

SlipperOrchid · 03/05/2019 15:00

Am I alone or just old (mud forties) in thinking SS trainers look really cheap? I remember wearing white similar looking trainers in primary school although they were plastic!

KaliforniaDreamz · 03/05/2019 15:02

Mine are leather and i have loved them but feel a bit over them at the mo as they are so flat i need something with cushioning. old gimmer lol

if you think they look cheap just don't wear them!

SlipperOrchid · 03/05/2019 15:56

I don’t wear them but am looking for a pair to wear with midi skirts and these are everywhere!

pineapplepatty · 03/05/2019 19:18

Thanks everyone
