So fed up of see through tops

I've ordered some lovely shirts and sleeveless tops/vests from next for work, exactly what I've been looking for style wise plus they come in different colours so I thought that was my 'uniform' sorted.

BUT what is it with them making them so see through and only putting lining down the button strip on the shirts and just for the top half of the vests?! Why cant they just line the whole thing?

I've got nude camisoles but the neckline isn't low enough and I'm never sure whether I should tuck them in otherwise the hem is longer than the shirts.

Is it just me?am I wearing them wrong or should I just not worry about them being see through? I'm fed up of having spent ages looking for the perfect tops which I thought I had found only to find them unbearable.

Bit of a rant sorry but its really annoying me!

None of my tops are see through. Though perhaps you are more stylish than me!

When I say shirts I mean the loose flowy type not the cotton ones.

I agree. I’m a teacher and my classroom gets so hot in summer. I need a vest underneath so many tops as the cotton is so thin. Thereby defeating the point of a cool cotton shirt!
I found some silk ones in French connection that were floaty and cool and not at all see through.

Summersunshine2 · 01/05/2019 22:27

Yes I agree! Find some lovely tops but when you try them on you can see through them Shock

I think “nude” camis (and bras for that matter) look like cardboard. Go for a contrasting block colour with a cami, some ate meant to be seen.

JudyDenchsBloomers · 02/05/2019 04:15

Yes! And also t-shirts. Why must they be see-through? Confused

Thewalker75 · 02/05/2019 06:19

Glad it's not just me then. like the idea of a contrasting cami might try that.

There are the shirts whatisgoingonwithmylife..
